Car description |
---|
Maroon paint with a black interior and a new black Stayfast convertible top. Runs and drives great as a Packard should. Starts right up and you can hardly hear it run. Strong motor and transmission. All of the gauges work as well as the original radio and heater. Glove box clock works but is disconnected to reduce battery drain.
I bought this car from an older gentleman in Florida 5 years ago as a flip but my Dad fell in love with it so I sold it to him. Unfortunately he passed last year away so it is time for this gem to go to a new owner who will enjoy it as much as he did.
It is an older restoration that is now a great driver. Interior is 9/10 (No rips or tears just not fresh and new like the top which is 10/10) and paint is 8/10 (Some chips and small scratches and checking). The paint almost looks purple in the main photos but in person and in the close-ups you can see it has more red in it. A beautiful combination. The glove box still has the original flocking. There are 2 jump seats in the back so you can have a total of 5 passengers. The picture shows one up and one down. This model was a hit with the traveling salesmen back in the day because they could keep their sales samples in the back safe and sound and their luggage in the trunk. This way they would not have to open and close the trunk at each stop.
All we have done in the last 5 years is:
Rebuilt the fuel pump.
Replaced the cracked exhaust manifold.
New muffler.
Brake job.
Had a professional redo the gold pinstripes on the beltline and the wheels.
New battery this year.
Please contact me to set-up a time to come and see the car if you are interested. No scammers, low ballers or tire kickers. Negotiable on the price to the right serious buyer since this is a rare car that is hard to comp. Advertised locally for sale for the same price. Best offer owns it.
