Packard 1949 Convertible Super Eight. Model 2232 Series 22 Super Eight Victoria. Engine #G425030. This is a rare 1949 Packard Convertible, 3 speed with overdrive, 327 ci, Long 8, 2 bbl. According to CAAARGUIDE.com a grade 8 = $56,400 a grade 10 = $84,600. This beautiful rust free Packard is easily an 8. and could be a 10 with little work. I bought it from a car museum in Missouri about 8-9 years ago for $64,200 and I put over $25,000 into everything you don't see in a museum. New radiator, heater core, thermostat, all fluids, weatherstrip, front bushings, rear shocks, rebuilt transmission, rebuilt generator, engine overhaul, new battery, new spare tire, etc. The motor runs smooth and strong. The overdrive 3 speed on the column transmission works perfectly, the overdrive feature is awesome and keeps up with high speed traffic with ease. This car has radial tires which make a smooth comfortable ride. It stands out and is absolutely beautiful on the road or up close. Lots of chrome. Cool feature, press the gas pedal to the floor and it engages the starter and the car starts. It has a power antenna which I haven't fixed and the radio doesn't work but it comes with two other radios, the speedometer doesn't work, but it comes with another dash with all the gages, it also comes with extra parts like bulbs, trickle charger, lots of papers, books and manuals. Milage is not accurate. Very cheap collector car insurance from Grundy or Hagerty. Parts are surprisingly easy to find. The car is at a friends car lot now in Pasadena Maryland. Message me or call 410.991.2931 with questions. The car is sold as it where is without warranty. I reserve the right to cancel if sold locally, so don't wait if you're interested. No trades please. Just so you know, I don't want to sell this car, I have too. That's why I will take less than half of what I have into it.
