"One of a kind custom creation, cool ride that gets tons of attention"
1932 Packard Hot - Street - Rat Rod - Car
Perfect rust patina - not clear coated - all natural. Exposed welds.
Runs, Drives, Stops, Steers, All lights work - Has been on several 80 mile round trip rod runs as well as local driving. Basically open headers - Loud !!!
Handles well on the highway.
Even has seat belts (lap style design). No stereo but does have huge boom box speakers that you can plug into your phone.
Frame is a modified S-10 Chevy truck. 283 Chevy Engine that I believe is all stock. Supposed to have 327 Corvette heads. HEI ignition. Ignition switch on dash sticks a little sometimes. Good shifting automatic transmission. Really nice cool lock out shifter. Front disc brakes (S-10). Modified power rack and pinion steering. Nice chrome tilt steering column in the up position. We believe the rear end is a large bolt pattern Ford. Good tires - front are new. New alternator. New aluminum radiator. New gas tank. New electric engine cooling fan. Nice clean set of gauges (one has broken lens) - look to be new. Gauges work except Speedometer (not hooked up). Cool chrome bullet style lug nuts.
Engine runs great. Probably a little on the rich side. Carburetor is good but probably will need some choke work (sometimes harder to start when warm).
I did not build this car. What you see is what you get. It is impossible for me to describe each and every detail. Therefore, I am going to call it a project because it does need a few little things. Its a Rat Rod and these cars are always a work in progress.
THE BODY IS WELDED TO THE FRAME. Therefore, the driver will need to go slow over bumps and pot holes. I recommend modifying the coilovers for more bounce. The car is right at eleven feet long from outermost points.
Whoever built this car did a great job and was very creative and imaginative as well as a good fabricator, welder and mechanic.
Body looks like it was a 4 door at one time and shortened to two door (front to back). Looks like it was narrowed (side to side). Also, looks like it was shortened from top to bottom. NOT chopped. Body is channeled over frame. Needs rockers fabricated. Needs Transmission tunnel completion - missing at front where body and floor come together. Has a really neat transmission hump. Top is open with canvas top and oak wood supports. Good windshield that cranks open. Drivers side has a pull up plexiglass but really needs new fabrication on both sides. Doors do stay closed but take some getting used to. Bottom of doors is rusted away (dont let the pictures mislead you on this). Has cool old antique "Stop" light for third brake light. Surfboard included.
Rear tires do not hit body. The tires are close. There are rub marks on one side of the body that came from a different set of tires.
Lots of unique great details designed into this one of a kind car. Cool features include a set of rare headlights with top mount turn signals. Very rare rear wheels. Custom handmade air filter that has a cool steam punk look. Radiator support bows designed to match the front frame extensions of the car to tie it all together.
This car is a very tight fit for the driver and passenger. The steering wheel is really cool and valuable. However, the streering wheel is on the large size for taller long legged guys. I am 6.1 225 pounds wear 36 waist and 33 long blue jeans. I am about the largest size that will be semi comfortable in the cars current state. I would look into getting a smaller steering wheel for a little more leg room. Driver will have to hit the gas with his / her right foot and brake with the left. If your smaller then me then you should fit better but keep in mind its not a 2019 Cadillac. Rat rods are usually not built for comfort or ride quality. Also, it does not have a heater system or AC.
*If you have bad knees or are not semi flexible this car is not for you. If your taller than 6.1 or have long legs this car might not be for you especially if you don't decrease the steering wheel size.
Clean Kentucky title in my name. Street legal in the state of Kentucky with historical license plate.
None refundable - $500 Paypal deposit due within 48 hours after the listing ends. Please only bid / purchase if you have the funds. No trades considered. The sales price will be due and is none negotiable.
I am not sure if ebay will charge you sales tax on this item. Be prepared for that if they do - thats the buyers cost. Any tax issues is between the buyer and ebay and I have nothing to do with that. Buyer is responsible for transport cost and arrangements. I know it would be very hard to build this car with the amount of labor, parts, materials and the modifications for the opening bid. Car is for sale locally and sale may end at any time.
This vehicle is located in Williamsburg, Kentucky, Exit 11 off of I-75. Three hours South of Cincinnatti, Ohio or one hour North of Knoxville, TN.
