This vehicle is a 1954 Packard Convertible. The Vin tag indicates that the car is an original 1954 Convertible (5431 series). The car was the 191st produced out of only 863 made. Not many of these exist. The body has been stripped to bare metal and is currently in primer. The body was removed from the frame and the frame has been completely restored. The car is equipped with its original straight 8 cylinder 359cid/212hp engine and original 3--Speed automatic transmission. The engine is in newly rebuilt condition, as is the automatic transmission. There is no electrical system installed, and as such the vehicle does not run. Much of the original electrical equipment is included. The bodywork has been completed, but the car needs paint. The seats, interior and all upholstery are in poor condition and in need of restoration. There are no Carpets. The bumpers and all chrome trim are in poor condition. The windshield and all glass are in fair condition. The suspension and underpinnings of the car have been restored. The top is missing, and there are no remnants of the original hydraulic systems, but the all-important top mechanism and frame are present. Also included are service manuals and receipts for work already done.
