Thanks to Charlie, I believe this is a 1948 model 2232 Series 22 Super Eight Victoria and not a 1949 as titled. The engine number is G425030. According to CAAARGUIDE.COM This rare 2279 1948 Packard Super Eight Convertible, 3 spd, 327 ci, L8, 2 bbl, 145 hp in a grade 8 is valued at $55,800 and a grade 10 is $83,700 This beautiful rust free Packard is easily an 8 1/2-9 and fairly priced. It was purchased from a museum in Missouri about 5 years ago for $64,200 and I put over $25,000 into everything you don't see at a museum. New radiator, heater coil, thermostat, antifreeze, weatherstrip, front bushings and rear shocks, rebuilt transmission twice, rebuilt generator, new tire, engine overhaul, all fluids, etc. Investment quality car.The motor runs smooth and strong. The overdrive 3 speed on the column transmission works perfectly, theoverdrive feature is awesome and keeps up with high speed traffic with ease. This car has radial tires which makes a smooth comfortable ride. It gets more looks and thumbs up than the Ferrari I had. It stands out and is absolutely beautiful on the road and close up. Lots of chrome. Power hydraulic windows, and roof. Cool feature, press the gas pedal to the floor and it starts the car. Hasvacuum powerantenna which I haven't had time to fix. Radio doesn't work. I have two other radios and extra parts, bulbs, trickle charger, cover, lots of papers and books. Mileage is not accurate. Very cheap collector car insurance from Grundy Worldwide 800-338-4005.Parts aresurprisingly easy to find. Easier than a 1991 Ferrari. ONLY selling because of pending divorce. No trades. As is, no warranty. Can helporganize shipping anywhere or pick up.
