Car description |
---|
Offered for your consideration is a 1938 Packard 6 cylinder Club Coupe. Original mileage is 91,000. It has a tan body with chocolate fenders. A quality professional restoration was preformed in 2007 which consisted of a complete engine, transmission, and differential overall. Plus a new wiring harness, heavy duty battery disconnect and electric fuel pump. I have detailed receipts of the chronological restoration, labor hours, and parts cost provided by the previous owner who had owned the car since 1958. The total restoration cost exceeded $20,000. In today’s dollars the restoration would bea great deal more. The 100% mohair interior is new.
The Packard hasthermostatically controlled radiator louvers. The front seats are divided and forward tilting for access to the Opera type rear seats. In addition, it has 5 new wide white-wall tires. I have recently had the carburetor rebuilt and the gas tank removed and flushed. The car drives very well, and is a real head turner. Packard is the finest American car ever built. The oft-used advertising tag line, " Ask the man who owns one " was not some pompous slogan but a true reflection of the company's dedication and pride that was poured into each and every vehicle.
No Reserve. The Packard is currently registered and insured in Nevada. You must arrange for your own shipping. I will assist in getting the car to your transportation site.
