This was my New Years resolution 2010: Own a car with fins! In 2012 I rescued this one from the desert in Nevada, no engine or transmission, and the interior was shot. Someone cut the wiring harness at the firewall and tried to rewire the under hood area with all 14 gauge red wire, so it was all redone with the right colored and gauge wire. The engine is all Cadillac, but it's a 1973 Fleetwood 472 freshly rebuilt. I put a 700R4 transmission in it from an '89 General Motors product because of the overdrive fourth gear. She gets about 15 mpg on the highway with the overdrive. The tires are 2 year old Coker's and the wire wheels are bright and really set her off. Inside the trunk the floors are solid and clean. When I built the car I replaced the exhaust system. Here's the concerns she has: The top is shot and needs replacing. All the mechanical parts are great, but the cloth is damaged from the Nevada sun and the rear window is too cloudy to see out of. While the upholstery was replaced in 2013, the electric front seat has issues I can't figure out, so I set the seat to my liking and I never move it. All the parts are there and they work on the bench, but when I put them in the car it won't work. The radio is in the dashboard but I've never made it work. For less than $300 there's a radio you can buy that looks like the original and has Bluetooth, which I was going to buy for Christmas if I still have the car. Overall the body is 100 %, although there is some rust bubbling out on the driver's side under the door. It's minor enough that if you're going to use the car as a driver you may never fix it. Besides, it's character!I've cruised South Beach, Ft. Lauderdale beach, Daytona Beach, the Florida keys and the west coast of Florida without any problems. Everywhere people fall off the curb and almost crash their cars wishing they could own it. Parked In Boca Raton people will walk away from Bentlys, Ferraris, Lambo's, etc. just to get a picture of themselves standing next to her. This is truly an emotion evoking Cadillac. I don't want to sell it, I need to.I will work with your shipper.
