1973 Jensen Interceptor Mark III You are bidding on a very original 1973 Jensen Interceptor Mark III with the venerable and powerful Chrysler 440 (7. 2 liter) cubic inch engine. Behind said engine is the durable Chrysler Torqueflight automatic transmission. Vin # 133/5832 Date of Manufacture 7/72 The color is the original beautiful light blue (has a repaint) and I’d describe it as driver quality. As you can see from the pictures. she looks great. but up to be show. you’d be best to paint her. We can also paint her for you if you were interested (contact me via email if this is an option that you would like to discuss). The dark blue leather interior is in fine condition. She carries a black half vinyl roof. as you can see. The wood has cracks – but it seems that all Jensen’s wood cracked over time. There are a few good service providers in Hemmings that will make the wood look new. She runs and drives fine. as well. She handles surprisingly well. and has heft to her. I wouldn’t describe a Jensen as a sports-car rather a grand touring car. The rims are original. the tires are fine and she starts promptly upon the turn of the key. There is no obvious rust on underside of the car – she is just showing her age. I am a fan of original cars – and think she’d make a great “survivor” car on the show circuit. You don’t see many Interceptors at shows here in the US. Further. I am bullish on the Interceptors. I tend to believe that these cars will come into their own soon and demand great money. She was hand built in “73” and was as expensive as a Rolls Royce but much more rare. In 1973 only 1142 were made (including convertibles). How many remain is not widely known. but she is rare. The mileage is shown at 61. 83 which I believe to be original. There is a clean title on the car. She is being sold as is. where is – and there is no warranty of any type. I’ve described her to the best of my knowledge (again. I am not a Jensen expert) – so ask questions before bidding. Tigers are rare and finding one to restore is. obviously. getting more rare. I will accept Paypal for the deposit – but it is non-refundable (I’ve been burned before). The balance in the form of a wire is preferred. Title is in hand. The pictures tell the story so please study them. Thanks for bidding.
