Car description |
---|
This car was a project vehicle that I purchased about 8 years ago. I have since stripped this car down and started a ground up restoration. In short life happened and I have no time to finish the restoration. The suspension and drivetrain has been restored or replaced. The engine was inspected and major parts were replaced. I have EVERY receipt for the parts I have purchased. I literally have very part you need to make this car road worthy. Please contact me for a list or further description of what I have done and invested into this car. The original color was inka orange. I was not a fan and chose Tampico. I have the paint and clear to go with the car. The body is strait and rust in the normal areas (rockers and some in the wheel well), but nothing major. This is a non matching numbers car. It has a 1971 engine on a 1970 chassis. The car ran before I took it apart. Thanks for looking.
Additional Information,
I just want to justify the price listed. I realize I will get offers below my asking price, I hope I don't have to explain how offers work. If you don't like what I'm selling then don't buy. I don't need immature remarks. This is a business transaction.
I will list what I have purchased for this vehicle. I realize this vehicle is not and will never be concours condition. I am merely attempting to recoup what I spent on parts.
I am not an e10 expert, I just liked it and thought it would be a fun project. I just don't have the time anymore. It was pointed out that the vin posted was not the correct vin for the vehicle. To clarify one more thing, the Vehicle is a 1970 (chassis) with a VIN of 1671302. The engine that is in the vehicle rite now has a VIN of 4227629. I apologize for the confusion.
The engine was given a clean bill of health by BMW of Riverside. The head was machined, and compression tested, the timing chain, tensioner and guide were replaced. The engine was strong and had no issues. I have a new radiator for it that was aftermarket. Webber single barrel carb. The original 1bbl solex carb goes with the vehicle. All front end linkage was replaced with the exception of the control arms. All bushings and bolts throughout the vehicle were replaced with new bushings and grade 8.8 bolts and nuts. New MOMO steering wheel, rebuilt steering knuckle, new wheel bearings and races, new brake drums, calipers, drums and drum hardware. Vintage style stereo with bluetooth. Ireland engineering lowering springs, bilstein shocks and struts. Alpina style rims, the rims on the vehicle are just for painting. Pictured are a set of new never installed rota wheels (you get a total of 12 rims). Plastic front bumper, original rear bumper. Replacement tachometer. The dashboard is a three piece and has cracks in it that i started to fix but did not finish. New engine and transmission mounts, new center shaft bearing. New Ireland engineering exhaust system, (includes ceramic coated exhaust manifold)from engine to muffler. Front seats were reupholstered with era specific VW cloth purchased from Turkey. Form fitted black carpet kit. Rear bench seat was not re-upholstered but I have the material for that to get finished. New headliner in cream color. Front and rear window seals are the original ones but not cracked or torn. Original round tail lights come with the car, but I purchased a set that were re chromed and lenses were not cracked. The heater box needs to be fixed as do windshield wipers. I purchased replica euro corner parking lights. Alternator, master cylinder, brake booster, clutch slave cylinder, and rebuild kits were purchased from 2002ad. I know I am forgetting many other parts but that should give you an idea of what I have into the vehicle. Like I posted above, Everything you need to paint the vehicle (Tampico, primer and clear coat), goes with the vehicle. I know I will take a loss but I am not giving the car away. Thanks again for looking.
