Car description

The early Fords have been some of the most, if not the most, transformed cars in history. Originally a mild mannered family car, this iconic car has been a moonshine runner, a speed demon's best friend, a bank robbers getaway vehicle and has helped to create two genre's in the car world ' the Hot Rod and the Street Rod. The early Fords were loved by bootleggers all over the South for their speed and the size of the trunk.... They could haul lots of "shine" during the Prohibition and after, as the desire for moonshine didn't end with the end of Prohibition. Then during the later years of depression, notorious bank robbers Baby Face Nelson, John Dillinger and most famously Bonnie and Clyde drove and had guns a-blazing stand offs in 1934 Fords. The Hot Rod evolved out of a need for speed, a need for getting ones hands dirty and creating something faster. The Hot Rod really exploded after WWII when men had been trained to work on military vehicles and now wanted something to tinker with at home. They chose the early /mid 30'S Fords because they were light and modifying them was easy. Hot Rods and Hot Rod Racing were huge in California as many of the iconic photos of races in the dry lake beds of California will attest to. And they made Hollywood take notice too. Who could forget the movie "American Graffiti" with John Milner and his bright yellow 32 Ford Deuce Coupe? In the 1960's the Hot Rod with its exposed over-sized engine and raw open look gave way to the muscle car and "what's under the hood”. This meant the evolution of the "Street Rod”, the tamer family friendly version. Or the "appearances can be deceiving" car. One thing is for certain, the evolution of these iconic cars has changed the automotive industry forever. 1932 Ford 3 Window Coupe* Over $250K Spent on 10 Year Old Restoration* All Steel Henry Ford Car* Hot Rod Flathead V8 Engine with Cyclone Aluminum Heads* Aluminum Edelbrock Intake* 2 Ford 2 Barrel Carburetors with Thickstop Aluminum Scoops* Aluminum Alternator* 4-Speed Transmission* Electric Fan* Aluminum Oil Spout* Electric Fuel Pump* Chrome Starter* Dual Chrome Water Pumps* Electronic Ignition* Drop Head Light Bar* Buick Brake Drums on Front and Rear* 6" Front Drop Chrome Axle* Chrome Front leaf Spring* Chrome Front Torsion Bar* Goodyear 195/55/15 Front Tires & 235/60/17 Rear Tires* Boyd Coddington Aluminum Wheels* Fully Polished Halibrand Quick Change Rear* Stainless Steel Headers with Stainless Steel Exhaust Front to Back* Deep Black PPG Exterior Paint* Black Leather Interior with Tan Ostrich Accent* Original 3 Window Dash with Glove Box* New Wood Grain Dash and Wood Grain Door Panels* Stewart Warner Gauges* TEA Seat* Mullins Steering Box* Rumble Seat
