Same owner for past 15 years. Motor is a 460 V8 from a 75 LTD w/ a Holley carb and a3 speed automatic transmission. Very sad to have to part with this beauty. It's been a solid, strong truck for us. It's just in need of some attention beyond my mechanical skill-set and current finances to fix. It has a cracked flywheel and is losing compression in 2 cylinders. Couple smallquirks, (drivers door opens from outside only, driver side of bench seat hinge is separated but the seat opens/ closes, after market sport steering wheel is nice but the horn is crap. I installed a horn button on left side of dash. I'm sure there's more, it IS a 68, but that's all that comes to mind directly.)It has some rust stripes and missing a couple trim pieces, but overall it's a real good looking truck. This is a great investment for someone w/ a shop and better mechanical skills than I as these trucks can really rise in valuerather quickly. Truck starts solid and runs, but it is choppy. I drove it home from the mechanic shop and though it sounded/ acted like it wanted to die, it didn't. Lots of work put into it within the last year and a half. New head gaskets, intake & exhaust manifold gaskets, fuel pump, ignition, ignition coil, solenoid, relay, new exhaust, tires, u-joints, battery, starter, master cylinder, headlights, thermostat, water pump, heater core, heating/ cooling hoses all around. When running properly, this motor got 9mpg city/ 11-12 hwy. Again, I'm sure there's more, but that's all that comes to mind at present. Bottom line, solid investment opportunity for the right person. Clean title.
