Hello, up for auction today is my 1978 Dodge Warlock D150. This truck is WAY more rare than any Little Red Express.
The "Warlock" edition/option was produced prior to the more well known "LRE" Dodge truck. The Warlock was first offered in 1976 & was basically just a cosmetic package, unlike the later LRE model. The LRE was available in 1978-79 as a 2-wheel drive model only & came with the 360 4bbl. engine as the only power plant option. The Dodge Warlock was able to be ordered in 1976 & 77 in a 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive format. The only colour option in 1976 was BLACK. In 1977 Dodge added dark green & canyon red as colour options. You could also order your choice of engines as well, from a slant 6 right up to a 440. In 1978 the LRE debuted & sales went well in the first year of availability. The Dodge Warlock optioned truck sales slowed with the hotter & more flashy LRE model being offered. Dodge decided to add a couple new colour options for buyers mid-year into 1978 production. These two colours were Sunfire Yellow & Sunrise Orange.
The truck being offered for sale today is a 1978 Dodge Warlock with a complete nut & bolt, 4 year restoration with NO expense spared. The vehicle has been driven less than 5,500 miles since the resto.
The truck was featured in "Mopar Collectors Guide Magazine" in July 2008, see pics.
The truck started it's life in New Mexico, YES, a totally rust free DRY truck from day 1. The truck was factory ordered in the ultra rare "Sunfire Orange" mid year colour option. It was originally ordered with the 318-2bbl. engine. The truck was also ordered with factory A/C & the extremely rare & little known "Skylite" sunroof option. A local Chrysler GURU & auto appraiser in our city was given factory records & documents of sales years ago from Chrysler/Dodge Canada. As far as he can decipher there were only 20 Dodge Warlocks produced in 1978 (Canadian sales) in Sunrise Orange. Now, how many of those 20 trucks were ordered with A/C & the skylite option??Quite likely your viewing a 1 of 1 truck!!! I am currently working on getting a copy of this documentation for the winning bidder. The truck now is equipped with a date code correct 360-4bbl. engine just like the LRE trucks. The engine is LRE correct with chrome valve covers, complete duel snorkle air cleaner/chrome lid & front radiator support. The engine has had a complete rebuild less than 5,500 miles ago. The transmission is a later model overdrive unit (for pleasurable highway speeds) has also had a complete rebuild less than 3,000 miles ago.
NOS PARTS:

Not much more to say, anything not NOS has been completly restored to factory specs. The pics say it all, this is a 10 year old restoration that looks like it was done last year. NO disappointments, TOP shelf truck!!! If you desire any additional pics or have any questions just ask.
