There are less than 500 Yugos left in the USA and of those I'd bet less than 100 still run. This one is mechanically a better car than it was when it was new. I've been a mechanic for 25 years and I've always wanted to own a Yugo, to dive into them and see if they really were the "worst car ever built" (The are not).
I want someone to buy this car and enjoy it for what it is, A relic, a piece of history that will never come again, and I want them to drive it!
Now like any project car there are a few things that still aren't perfect. Here is a list:
The fuel gauge is erratic. I have ordered a replacement sender and gasket. This will be fixed before pickup. The door locks do not work. When the gas tank is full you can sometimes smell fumes. I have found the issue and have a part on order. This will be fixed by the time of pickup. The rear tires are 80% on the outside and only 30% on the inside from the previous owner not getting the car aligned. I repaired all the suspension and aligned the car so the tires will now wear normally. The dome lights do not work right. I'm still working on this one. It may or may not be fixed by the time of pickup.
That is it. A HUGE list of issues right? I think most Yugo's rolled off the assembly line with more problems than that!
Please don't waste my time with fake bids or BS scams. I won't fall for it, and I will not ship the car. You buy it, you come get it, you drive it home. That simple!I have a clear title here for it and I promise you will never see another Yugo this well kept.
