After 45 years I've decided to sell my beloved GTO. Its a rare opportunity for someone to get into a classic hotrod for an affordable price . Garage kept for the last 40 years . I'm forced to sell as is . As I'm not able to do the few repairs necessary to sell it for more , I feel its priced to sell. So up front in the interest of full disclosure, there are two mechanical issues that I want to state out front . It needs a carburetor, the present Quadrajet is burning way rich. it starts and drives ok but gets about 5 mpg . more importantly the turbo 400 transmission starts slipping after a couple miles. it has the 1966 "boot heel" turbo 400, worth fixin, I'm told its a good one to have. It also has a cracked windshield. I have made more repairs to this car than I can remember. I bought it when i was 18 and drove it hard . I could go on for hours. So Ill provide that information by request. It's presently powered by a '70 455 W-30 Olds engine that came outta my buddies 442 . bored .030 over with a crane torque cam, flo-master muffler, she sounds awesome . I would guess only a few thousand miles on it since last rebuild. Plenty of torque to roll the tires over about anytime you feel the urge. As far as the body there was some rust repaired in the 80's, that's when it got the roll bars i thin, you will find some bondo around the rear wheel well, not extensive, no rust anywhere on front end that i can remember at all. there are a few paint chips and a small dent since last paint, nothing spot putty wont fix. All things considered it still looks pretty good in blac, still pretty straight in my opinion.the car is painted in lacquer so touch-ups are easy.the vehicle is located in 48071 zip. for local pickup only I will provide all the information I can by phone, text or ebay message . serious inquiries only please call or text Tom at 231-709-3717
