1990 CADILLAC FLEETWOOD BROUGHAM
FAMILY OWNED SINCE 1992!
NO RESERVE!!
I have advertised a lot of cars on eBay. Hard to find cars that I want to find good homes for. If I could keep them all I would. This Cadillac offered here today is a special car to me and I'll tell you why. I grew up in a neighborhood in the 70's, 80's and 90's and my neighbors were my friends my whole life....I remember the day my neighbor's father brought this car home in 1992. He had purchased it off his Doctor colleagueand would only drive it on weekends and special occasions. He sold his 1987 Lincoln Town Car and bought this. I was 20 years old at the time and it looked like a car right out of Goodfellas. I always loved large luxury cars (see my Lincoln Town Car Auction on eBay). In 1996 I moved out of my neighborhood and life just happened. But you know when you have friends from the neighborhood, no matter when you see them, even years later, its like you never skipped a beat. I was fortunate enough to have kids the same age as my neighbor's kids and because we stayed in the area our kids went to the same school. So as time went on, I would see my friend at school plays and township sports. I would always ask him if his Dad still had the Caddy. "Yep!!!" would always be his response and "Nope!!!" would always be his response to my question of if he was ready to sell. It wasn't until our kids graduated 8th grade last week he was telling me his father was not doing so well and although I was very sad to hear the news, I politely said to him, "I'm still a buyer for his old Caddy." Well that was the day we agreed that I would buy it. Now I haven't seen the car in nearly 25 years so I had no idea the condition. Hasn't been running in over 5 years. So that Saturday I brought an air pump, some fresh gas and a battery pack. I saw the car inside the garage sitting there with years of dust on it but it instantly brought back some memories of the neighborhood. In 10 short minutes the vehicle was running and saw daylight again. And now its being offered to you! Please read on to find out the condition of this old war horse. There are plenty of pictures and a video at the bottom....make sure to view.
Exterior:
From a distance this Caddy looks beautiful. As you walk up to about 5 feet you can see signs of body repair around the vehicle. There is a scrape on the front left fender and somelacquer cracks on the hood. The car was repainted years ago and shows great but could use a nice compound and wax. If you're buying this car for a driver the outside looks great, but for a show car it will need work. The vinyl top was painted once with the car and does show some wear. Again, very presentable for the age, but not perfect. The windshield has 1 stone chip. The chrome bumpers are in excellent condition. Its got the Vogue Tires and tread is good but does have some dry rotting. They do hold air. Take a look at the pics and video and let us know of any questions you may have.
Interior:
The interior is in excellent original condition. The dash has no cracks on the top. The radio is original and has to be hooked up. When I got it there was an aftermarket CD player in its spot. They did chip away at the bezel when they installed it. The A/C works and blows cold. Power windows work but are a little slow. Power seats work well also. Digital dash is crisp and numbers are clear. The carpet is in excellent original condition. Non Smoker owned. The headliner is sagging a bit in the back. Otherwise the pictures will speak for themselves. Let me know of any questions
Drive-Train:
The engine is the 5.0L and sounds and runs quiet. It has the 4 speed transmission with overdrive. Runs and shift great. It could use a tune up, setting the timing and change the fluids then it will really run perfect. This car has been well maintained since 1992 and I have plenty of maintenancerecords to prove it. However, for any long trips I will definitely service the car.Let me know of any questions. The A/C was converted in 2003 and still holds the charge.
In Summation:
I love this style Cadillac. Its a blend from the 70's styling throughout the 80's. It certainly makes a statement when you pull up at any function. I hope it goes to a very nice home. Its a special car not only to the family I got it from but to me as well.
Payment:
$200 non refundable deposit immediately after auction ends. Full payment within 7 days. I can help with storage if you're having the car shipped.
