Unfortunately the winning bidder of this DIVCO did not understand the details of winning this auction. PLEASE read carefully and call if you have ANY questions before bidding.
NOTE: $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of the end of the auction via PayPal. Also, the truck must be paid for in FULL within 7 days. I can arrange for storage up to 30 days but you MUST arrange this with me prior to bidding. Please ensure can do these things BEFORE bidding.
The motor turns freely and for someone who is mechanically inclined they should be able to get it up and running in a weekend. I had the cylinders soaking in Marvel Mystery Oil for six months, rotating the motor every 30 days.
I installed new spark plugs, plug wires, rotor, distributor cap, points, condenser, oil, oil filter, AGM battery, starter solenoid, custom made battery cables. Motor may have stuck intake or exhaust valve.
I installed four new Hankook LT 225/75/16 DynaproHT tires, new tubes, and new internal flaps ($1,100) on the original split rims.
To the best of my understanding from the man I bought it from, this rare gem, started life in service in the greater Phoenix, AZ area. His brother bought this truck and parked it in his back yard back in 1972. It was discovered in McNeal, AZ late last year. After a very thorough title search through a local title service company, they discovered that these are actual miles on the truck. The title clearly states these are "Box A" original miles. The odometer has NOT turned over. Upon careful inspection of the brake, clutch, and gas pedals, along with careful inspection of the rest of the truck there is no reason for me to believe otherwise. I have a clear AZ title in my name which was done through the title service company.
The plan was to turn this into another work truck for our plumbing business. Unfortunately I just have not been able to find the time to give this old girl the love and attention she needs.
The truck comes with a NOS steering wheel. DIVCO is 90% rust free.
