Enter the famous INDIANAPOLIS SPEEDWAY at the Vintage Historics in June
Now at age 76, after many years of restoring and driving old race cars, we have sold our main shop building, and many of our cars.
this race car is at our shop, and listing may be at any time.
ALL reasonable offers to end this listing early
with a "Buy it Now", wants to be considered
This is one of many pre war and post war race cars we have owned.
Discovered at Indiana Barn in 2000 by a well-known Bentley - Delahaye Collector who commissioned a No-Cost-Spared-Restoration in 2003.
One of many pre-war and post-war Boattail and Champ Cars I have owned, but now at 76, most of my cars must go.
Research indicates this classic INDY Roadster did not qualify at INDY in 1957, and was re-powered by a 1952 Oldsmobile 303 V8, inthe late 50's after the car was no longer a competitive design for INDY.The Classic Roadsters were new in the 50's, and have a large cockpit with lots of leg and foot room. With electric start, 3 speed trans w / clutch and 4 wheel hydraulic brakes, it is a very well equipped race car to drive.
The Indianapolis Race was a Formula 1 event in 1957, and the car may be eligible for Historic F1.
About 15 years ago, this post-War drum car received a first class professional "no cost spared" total restoration, and runs and drives as well as it looks.
This car has a LARGE COCKPIT with lots of legroom .
We have just converted it from oval track to used for road racing. It isa great car for vintage / historic road racing.
Available at my shop in Alabama, we have exported many cars and can assist

This is a GREAT car for BIG DRIVERS ... the cockpit is larger than, and has a LOT of leg room, and foot room in the pedal area. It can easily accommodate TALL drivers, 6 '+ .....
It runs and drives very, very, well.
We have just converted it from oval track to used for road racing. Although the pictures show the brake pedal for the left foot, it is now on the right foot side.
The car has hydraulic brakes on all 4 wheels. It has a Fuel Safe FT3 Fuel Cell.Quick release steering wheel. The tires are adequate for exhibition, new tires should be considered for serious racing, and as with any race car, typical pre-race checkover should be done before any race.
We ship many cars to Europe, Asia, and "Down Under," and will gladly assist you with arrangements .... it may be possible to have the car landed at your port in early June .....
