This is one of the most unique pickup trucks we've ever seen at MotoeXotica Classic Cars and if you come by, we think you'll agree. We are proud to present a custom 1966 Chevrolet C10 Stepside that was a definite labor of love for its original owner. It has undergone a complete rotisserie restoration. The interior is high lighted by over 1000 man hours by world renowned saddle maker Lionel Reed of West Monore LA. The smell of the interior is like a fine saddle shop and the attention to detail is show quality.

This Texas truck is dressed in show quality Daytona Yellow with white accents, this truck's paint and trim are in excellent condition and quite eye-catching. Its windows are clear and intact and the truck's lights are haze-free and intact. This truck rolls on Federal radials, size 255/50R17 at all four corners. Each tire is wrapped around a 17×9 Torq Thrust five-spoke wheel. The tires and wheels appear new.

This truck's bodywork is straight and solid, as you would expect after such a restoration. The cargo bed is finished in high-grade oak with stainless steel strips and oak bedliner, the engine bay is extremely tidy, the battery appears fresh, and the truck's bumpers fit well to the body.

Powering this unusual truck is a 327 CID V-8 engine from a 1968 Chevrolet Corvette that makes 350 horsepower and breathes through new dual exhausts as stated by the previous owner. The engine features high-performance heads, Comp Cam roller rockers, an Edelbrock intake manifold, a Holley double-pumper carburetor, Harrison radiator and Accel electronic ignition. Backing this motor is a Turbo Hydramatic 400 three-speed automatic transmission. Driver convenience features include vintage air-conditioning, adjustable oak steering column, power steering and power brakes with front discs. Underneath, the truck has a Ford Thunderbird independent rear suspension and adjustable rear shock absorbers.

More than 1,000 hours went into crafting this hand-tooled interior by world renowned saddle maker Lionel Reed. Reed paid tribute to the USA and Chevrolet with the "Heartbeat of America" emblazoned on the inner door panels and "Like a Rock" engraved behind the seats. In addition, the American Flag and a Bald Eagle are tooled into the headliner. As with the finest ring saddles, Reed used Sterling silver on all braided edges, including the dashboard, gauge surround, door panels, kick panels, glove box, sun visors, center and overhead consoles.

Other interior details include a full bench seat upholstered like a Rolls Royce, in Lemon Chiffon Connolly Leather with a fold-down center console. The brown carpet contrasts beautifully with the seats and the rest of the interior. The aforementioned headliner is in fantastic order. The metal yellow instrument panel is highlighted with the leather craft mentioned above, however the fuel and battery gauges are inoperable. There is an aftermarket Grant four-spoke steering wheel facing the driver while the inner door panels accurately echo the leather craft displayed in the rest of the interior. The mirror glass is in very good order, as is the shift lever. Rounding out this one-of-a-kind interior is a Blaupunkt AM/FM stereo with a CD player.

This truck's owner, Pastor Lionel Reed of West Monroe, Louisiana, gained his passion for saddle making when he was just 12. In 1943, he joined the U.S. Navy to support and defend his country during World War II. After he was discharged, he entered the ministry and again pursued his passion of working with leather. In time, he became a renowned saddle maker and master leather craftsman who made saddles for a variety of horsemen, from rodeo starts to political figures. Reed passed away in November 2016 at the age of 90.

Competition to this truck in 1966 included Dodge's D-series pickup truck, Ford's F-series truck and GMC's 1000-series trucks.

This truck is currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 89,807 miles. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, mileage exempt title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!
