POSITIVE FEATURES-very nice older restoration (crowd pleaser at car shows)-rust-free body-always garaged with car cover-acrylic enamel shows very well-complete new interior, headliner, panels, carpet, bamboo floor mats-all new glass-new tires/tubes ( about 50 miles on them)-new chrome [Cu/Ni/Cr] won't peel!-new brake system,( master and wheel cylinders plus shoes) 9"-polished stainless trim-original 4 cyl. with 3 speed stick-2 speed electric nose propeller-fog lights-dome light-stock horn plus accessory " bull horn "-all lights and gauges work-real oak wood panels ( a true woodie !)-rare sun visor-clear CA title-current registration-Y.O.M. California plates ( 1947 with correct 1949 metal tag,,,see pics)- fuzzy dice and red/white swirl glass shift knob- "surf city" decals
NEGATIVES-unrestored engine and chassis-rear seal leaks, needs drip pan-odometer stuck-best to add gas by can to avoid splash back-faux radio-no turn signals-vacuum wipers in place but not hooked up-heater in place but not hooked up-brake drums glazed, need turning-clutch disc may slip if overloaded-small ding left front fender, see pics
This wagon runs great at 40+mph. I'm 6'2", and it drives comfortably. It's not a hot rod but a great around town/cruise night head-turner. Park and leave the propeller on "slow" and watch the reactions (it will run for hours without affecting the battery) Pictures tell all. Call with questions or come kick the tires!
