This is a 1951 Bristol 401. An unrestored original survivor. Runs and shifts well with no smoke and good power. Paint appears to be original, but worn and faded. Very little corrosion and rust. Has original old and cracked leather interior. I have put on new Michlen X stop tires, tubes, fluids, rebuilt wheel cylinders, new master cylinder, new radiator core, hoses, belt, patched exhaust sections, rebuilt fuel pump and shut off. Engine appears to have had major work as compression is equal and no smoke with good power. Temporary pickup in gas tank higher than bottom crud. All electrics and lighting work. Has had directional lights installed by prior owners, and the removedoriginal semaphores are included. Has been stored in California for more than 30 years. Included is the original British Registration Book listing all the previous owners. Has original British license plates. Current California Registration and Historical Plates and Hagarty insurance. It could surly use a complete cosmetic and mechanical restoration. I had planned to do the restoration years ago, but to many other projects in the queue. Had been able to enjoy driving the Bristol to local car shows and coffee shops. There would always be a lot of questions about the Bristol Airplane Company and the BMW connection. For more details on the conditioncall Jere at 510 two two zero 8583.
