1939 Autocar cab over truck sitting on a Chevy dually chassis. Truck has a 350 engine and a turbo 400 transmission. Power steering, ower disc brakes, rums on the rear. The truck was a running truck when purchased 8 years ago but hasn't been started since. Miles on the chassis and running gear are unknown. Very cool truck with no rust and all the interior wood is perfect. Appears to have been in doors all of its life. We were going to make a pick-up out of it but it could be turned into a ramp truck, recker, r whatever else you can come up with. The person that owned the truck prior to me cut out for a sunroof to go in. The hole can be filled easily due to the roof being smooth on top. Truck originally had heavy duty check plate fenders. I had planned to use a set of 40s era Ford fenders and running boards. These trucks are extremely rare and to find one in this mint condition is almost unheard of. The truck has been stored in a trailer since it was purchased. Just moved it out to take photos. Truck still spins over with a good battery but would not fire. Probably rebuild the carburetor and it would run again. It was next in line on a long list of projects but the economy took its toll. It is time for it to go to someone who can finish it.
