Americana 1969 Rover P6 2000TC 2000 TCI have owned this car for approximately 15 years, n which time (like most Rover owners!) I have rebuilt the engine, s well as replaced many parts. The car was originally in Arizona, o it was in a dry environment, nd is rust-free, arring a bubble here and there on a couple fenders. The floor pan, runk etc., ave no rust.I drove the car 1200 miles to the Pacific Northwest without a hitch.Cosmetically, t could use a new paint job, nd actually looks better in the pictures than in person, ut it still presents well. Unfortunately, dropped a very large vise off my workbench, nd it flipped into the driver's door. However, have a spare door that comes with the car. There are a couple large scratches on the paint on the roof and a very small dent on the trim on one side of the roof (not bad -- see images). Ebay would only allow 12 images, o contact me if you need more. The leatherupholstery, ront and rear, s in excellent condition. Once per year I treated the seats with a high-quality leather conditioner. The most recent work on the car was replacing the rear wheel bearings, nd while at it I had the inboard rear brake discs turned, nd rebuilt the rear calipers. The clutch pressure plate and disc has been replaced. It shifts very well. It also has a brand new battery purchased this month, nd a recent tuneup (new points, istributor cap, park plugs etc.)It has minor oil leaks, ut nothing bad at all. I have also installed a pod containing an oil pressure gauge, oltage indicator, nd a vacuum gauge.TheMichelin tires look almost new, ut I bought them 14 years ago. The car was driven so little that they have most of their tread.I have numerous spare parts that accompany the car, ncluding a spare gearbox, new fuel pump, rake pads, he replacement drivers door as mentioned, nd a lot of Rover literature, dvertisements, nd more). The car runs fine and shifts well. I need to lube the inertia-starter gear that engages with the flywheel so the car will crank better. I may just replace the starter though, s I have a couple extra ones.It was originally an air-conditioned car, ut I removed the compressor and brackets a long time ago, s it made it easier to work on the car. I subsequently sold those parts to another Rover owner.I would prefer a local buyer, r at least somebody that can check out the car in person, s I do not want any "buyers remorse," as the sale will be final. I have listed the negatives as well as the positives, ut it is always best to inspect the vehicle in person. The buyer will pay by cashiers check, nd will need to arrange for transportation if necessary.Overall, very nice example of a Rover P6. With a little TLC, t can be even nicer.Payment by PayPal preferred.Payment to be made within2 days of end of auction. Please ask questions or request additional photos if needed so you know exactly what you will be receiving.Check out my other items!
