They are very unique trucks and get lots of attention at truck or car shows. The white COE is a rarer coe to find, nd it has a cool "round cab" design with the extra cab. The extra cab would be good for storage, lthough a shorter person or child could use it as a sleeper. I'm sure a dog would like to lay up there also. There are a lot of creative ways people have restored these trucks. They put flatbeds, amp bodies, ollbacks, recker beds, ampers, nd pickup boxes on them. Regular 8-9' stepside boxes from the era look great. Restoration pieces are made to build a bed out of scratch, ncluding tailgates. Old original boxes are not hard to find though. I've included many pictures below to give you an idea of the different possibilities of these trucks. I've seen custom crew cabs built out of these, nd suburbans/panels too. I can send more pics of the white also, s there are only 24 on here. I have experience shipping vehicles like this and can help with that process if needed. This truck doeshave a title. Thanks.MECHANICALThe engine and transmission are gone. The truck rolls and steers. I have not tried the brakes. This is the short wheelbase version of the truck and will be easier to ship than some. I know the original engine/tranny combo was heavy too, o it is a lot lighter now for shipping. It has a dropped straight axle that I'm told are of worth $500 used because truckers use them for overload type axles. Gauge panel is gone. It's just a flat piece of metal that would go there so it will be easy to build one. BODYThe body on this truck is in nice shape for a coe to restore. The front area had a small spot of filler so I sanded the whole thing to checkit out. No other bondo. It has an old paint job but it is either worn through from age or had been sanded by the previous owner, o you can see what's there easily. The cab is nearly rust free. It has exterior skin rust in the flat low part of the back of the cab. These are easy patches. One other rust in one front corner. A small patch also, bout 2x3". The drivers side doesn't have rust in that spot. No other rust. The front floorpan was replaced some point with heavier metal. The original floorpan was removeable, o they must have taken it out, cribed it, nd put the heavier one back in. No welding was done that I see and you can see from underneath that it was originally removeable. They did a pretty good job on the one they built and it's definitely usable. For a 64 year old coe project, he body is very straight. No largedents, o bondo. Very few digs really. The doors open and shut fine. Some flat glass will need replaced. Overall, his is a great body to start with for a resto. INTERIORThepassenger seat base is gone. It was just a tube frame base with a cushion on it, oeasy tobuild. Thegaugeclusteris gone also. It looks complete besides that from what I can see. OVERALLThese COE trucks get tons of attention at the car shows. There are many online pics to see how they are fixed up and get ideas for your truck. Below are some other coe's to look at. Thanks, nd happy bidding. Sold as-is.
