1959 Peerless GT2
This is a rare opportunity to own a great British GT. Only about 320 Peerless GTs were built in the late 1950's and about 130 survive today in the loving care of their owners. Several are raced regularly in vintage sports car races. There is a very active owners group worldwide with a website at www.peerless-gt.co.uk. Typical of the many small British car builders, any of the parts for the Peerless GT are from mass market car makers. The engine, ransmission and running gear are stock Triumph TR-3. Many other parts are also in common with other Triumph cars. This car is the 145th one built, bout mid-production. It needs a complete restoration. The gauges and radiator were restored at a cost of about $2000. The engine is out on the car and disassembled. A set of new cylinders come with the car. The body and chassis are in poor but restorable condition. If desired, here are newly manufactured ones are available at a very reasonable price. This car was stored from the mid-seventies and is quite original. The seats and much of the interior are factory, ut need restoration. Please examine the photos carefully and ask any questions before bidding. The car is in storage at Macy's Garage in Tipp City, hio. The buyer is responsible for pick up and transportation. The buyer assumes responsibility for all storage costs as of the first of the month following the completion of the sale. Deposit payment is by PayPal only as I am in New York and the car is in Ohio.
