The European GTO!
1968 Opel Kadett Rallye 1900
This was our dad's last project car before he passed away back in March - and we'd love to see it go to an enthousiast's home. He was always tinkering around in the garage and has owned cars from all across the spectrum - GTO, Porsche, Opel GT, split window Vette, Land Rover, Shelby's and other Mustangs, as well as a myriad of VW's through the years.
The Kadett turned the automotive establishment on it's head - economical power in a 7/8 scale Nova/Chevelle SS body. Bob Lutz at his early best.
The 1900cc Four makes 102hp & 115ftlb of torque - while weighing less than 2,000lbs and an original MSRP under $2,500.
This car was pulled from a field in Texas with an excellent patina and the usual rust areas. It's been partially pieced together and is in running and driving condition - although it is still very much a work in process. Never meant to be a show car restoration, this is a fun little weekend driver to show off at the local small town cars & coffee.
Package deal with a 1969 Kadett L ('luxury' version) parts car. Includes everything you see here - plus all the parts we can round up from the garage, including the dealer installed AC unit (some assembly required).
Additional photos available upon request, as well as a couple recent videos showing us driving it around the block.
Bring a trailer and relive some great memories.
