1971 OPEL GT1.9L 4cy
I am forced to sell one of my Opel GTs.
This car has no holes in the floorboardsRockers are in great shape.Only 3 owner vehicleI bought this car from the daughter of the original owner.
Stored in a garage for 17 years!!Has a special interest registration.
New brakesNew combo camshaftNew liftersValves lappedPertronix ignitionWeber 32/36New tires (less than 200 miles on them)Runs and drives fineMay need a carb adjustmentOlder Blaupunkt stereo.
(It produces sound but the speakers are horrible)Headlights rotate perfectly
The bad.It has smoke/exhaust coming from the exhaust area in the engine compartment. I suspect that it's the gasket between the intake manifold and exhaust manifold. It makes it hard to drive because the fumes come in the passenger compartment.
There's a small oil leak at the front of the valve cover.
The body work that had been done in the past will need redone. I have pictures of the damage. The dash is cracked. One large crack in the middle and a few smaller ones.
The belly pan appears to be salvageable.
There are smaller, parking lot, dents in a few locations.
Three small rust bubbles on the driver rear rocker.
Wipers don't currently work. May be the fuse.
Windshield has a small buffable scratch from the passenger wiper.
I have provided as many pictures as the website would allow. If you would like additional pictures, please let me know.
Youtube video of the exhaust at idle. It sounds better in person, of course.https://youtu.be/pc_koJG38Zg
