Car description

Oldsmobile 442 / W-30. Project car/roller - needs to be restored. It's original 350 Olds engine and transmission are long gone. Car currently set up for a small block Chevy unfortunately. Overall for age - body is not bad but is showing some rust. Doors have surface scale on the bottom, fenders appear good, rockers appear good. Quarters have had patch panels welded previously and are starting to bubble again. Hood should be replaced - as rusted at the lip. Drivers' floor is rusting out slightly along the seam. Rear frame rails are starting to get soft, like most - didn't look too bad until I put my tow hook on the passenger side and when I went to drag it out of the hole it was in, it pulled through - weld a piece on the bottom, as the sides and top of the rail seem good.
Car is extremely rare with only 886 W-30's/442s made with 540 being in Black and Gold. Now add all of the options that this car has: power windows, power locks, tilt wheel, bumper guards, power trunk (although the button is missing in the glove box), delay wipers, cruise control, clock, rear window defogger, power seat, Tempermatic heater control, fiber optics, power moon roof, litter bin on the passenger kick panel, remote passenger mirror, and I'm sure there is more that I'm forgetting. With these options, especially the roof, the fiber optics and power seat really make this a rare car - deserving to be restored. You could probably drop a motor and tranny - drive it for the summer - gathering all sorts of attention as you accumulate parts to restore, as the tires are like new and the brakes feel good. Interior needs to be gone through - plastics are starting to caulk/dry rot and the rear seat is ripped. Does not have posi tag, but as we all know that does not mean anything and no, I'm not going to take the cover off to verify.
Vehicle is sold as-is. Cash on pick-up with non-refundable deposit required with the rest on pick-up. Can assist with loading. Any questions, feel free to ask.

This 442 W-30 has lots of rare options! Primarily the factory installed powered Astro Roof / Moon Roof - not some after market piece of junk that somebody cut a hole for. More rare than the T Top Roof. Don't believe this one leaks, as the roof is solid, as well as the A Pillars. The A Pillars are what rust out on these cars that have the Astro Roof and T Tops. I have a BOP Turbo 400 that I can include in the sale, as well as a 403 that should be gone through for a little extra (complete minus intake and front accessories) - was a fresh motor but has been sitting for a while. Went to tear it down, to inspect the cylinder walls, and whoever put the ARP head bolts on it must not have put lube on them - as I'm snapping 1/2" drive sockets.
