Car description

Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight Tin Woody wagon. a smooth running 324 C.I. Rocket Olds engine backed by a smooth shifting Saginaw 4 spd. transmission. Manual brakes and steering. Upgrades include a 12 volt conversion with a Ron Francis wiring harness, electric wipers, and tube type shocks on all four corners. It also has nearly new chrome wheels wrapped in almost new Vogue Tyres. The paint is base coat clear coat and shines beautifully. The painted on woodgrain also looks great. There is no obvious rust visible on the exterior except the bumpers and the only evidence I have found of previous rust repair is a hole in the floor of the spare tire well and a small area in the vicinity of the door sill on the driver's side. Those were repaired with fiberglass and should be re done. There is also some rust on the inner rear fender wells but not on the fender sheet metal.Interior: The seats are presentable with no tears and may have been redone at some point. The rear seatback hinges and latches are missing as is the reveal molding for the driver side rear sliding window. There is no headliner installed but I do have the bows. The interior wood door cards don't look bad but they could have been done better. I refinished the oak window sills and they look very nice. The only original instrument being used is the oil pressure gauge and it works fine. Fuel level, voltage, and coolant temp are monitored by aftermarket gauges. The car runs, drives, and stops very well (no power steering or brakes). The steering is tight and the car tracks straight. The engine pulls strong, runs cool, doesn't smoke, and maintains good oil pressure. The trans shifts smoothly and the clutch engages properly with no chatter any leakage on the bottom side is very minor. All exterior lights work as they should. I have a clean TX title and current registration. I drive the car regularly. Please call Bud or message with any questions. 210-867-4534.
