Car description |

For sale is a beautiful 1949 Oldsmobile 88 Convertible. It has been garage kept and well maintained for the past few years. Some of the specifics of this car include: 135 bhp, 303 cu. in. OHV V-8 engine, Hydramatic transmission, coil-spring independent front suspension, live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes.
The Rocket engine compartment is very well appointed, with correct colors, hardware, and details throughout. The navy leather upholstery is perfectly complemented by a dark blue cloth top. This is truly a striking vehicle from a cosmetic standpoint. It's a true head-turner and the color combination is hard to beat. Not to mention that the car drives very nicely down the road.
The Eighty-Eight, which was produced from 1949 to 1999, reflected the performance side of Oldsmobile for generations. In its earliest form, the “88†quickly began setting records in stock car competition and was selected as the Indianapolis 500 Pace Car in 1949. The following year, a Rocket 88 would break a class speed record at Daytona, where it averaged 100.28 mph. This celebrated V-8 power, coupled with Oldsmobile’s fresh styling, ensured a very successful division for General Motors.
Don't miss out on this American classic! Some collectors may even consider this the first true American muscle car. Contact me with any questions you may have and I will do my best to answer them! Bid with confidence!
