OLDSMOBILE TORONADO
TROFEO FE3
100% RUST FREE ARIZONA CAR
LOW MILES
Here's one you likely haven't seen in a long while, especially in decent condition. This 1987 Oldsmobile Toronado Trofeo coupe was definitely ahead of it's time 33 years ago with more futuristic design and more digital gauges than anything else around. This car is a 'survivor', it's a two owner, 100% rust free Arizona car that was thankfully garage kept and for that reason it is all intact and in respectable original shape. Now, that being said, this car is not perfect but there are not many left like this one, a great candidate to drive, show and enjoy as is it or will a great one to start with if you want to restore it to perfection, it has great 'bones' and I always say that a complete, running, driving car (the low miles and clean actual mileage title is a big bonus for future value too), is far better to start with something as nice as this, than a rusty old mess. The car has a squeaky clean Autocheck and CarFax showing no accident history, you will notice in my photo's that I have captured the VIN# label on each and every panel of the car proving it's absolute originality. This car actually still has it's factory installed glass including the windshield and is completely stock with no modifications, no stereo systems, no 'performance parts' and no body enhancements, wheels, exhaust or anything...just how you want to find one. On top of that, the body, paint and interior are also original aside from the plastic covers surrounding the front and rear bumpers which have been professionally refinished, quite impressive. Please take some time to read my in-depth description and review the 100+ photos below which include several of the suspension and undercarriage where you can see the original 'red primer' they used to use back in the mid-eighties and that there is absolutelyno corrosionor damage.
The body of the car is very straight overall with no major dings, dents or scratches. Of course, there are a few blemishes to be expected. A few soft dings (no paint damage, can be removed with paintless dent removal) and a slight bit of fade in the clearcoat on the roof just in front of the rear glass. Other than that, paint is shiny and the car is very respectable looking. Trim shows some age but is all there and all intact including all emblems. Lights and lenses are all in good shape and fully functional including the power headlamp doors and fog lamps. Tires are brand new and are mounted to the factory alloy wheels that do show some aging but are all there including all center caps.
Inside, you will find a super clean cockpit. There are no tobacco, pet or musty odors at all, no burns or any evidence it has ever been smoked in. Leather is in fantastic original condition, all supple and soft. The carpets, headliner, visors and vanities are all intact showing minimal aging, not perfect but quite nice for original. Dash is all intact as are the console and door panels, the ashtray door is broken but other than that it's all there including the console storage compartment, glove box, etc. all in good working order. There is a circuit that is not functioning inside that controls the interior lights, vanity lights, power door locks and power mirrors. These items all are not working and according to my research are all related so you will have to find that issue if it's even important to you. Power antenna does not work, factory cassette does not work, power fuel door release has power and 'clicks' but the plastic retainer for the cable has broken so you have to open the fuel door manually from inside the trunk. These are easy fixes, the good thing is what DOES work. All power windows, power seats, stereo w/factoryEQ, trunk release, trunk 'soft-close' function, A/C is ice cold, wipers and all gauges work with the exception of the bottom half of the 'pixels' in the driver information center which will come on when warm most of the time. I have tested the cruise control and it is also functional.
Mechanically the car is healthy. The car has sat for many years so it will need to be driven, I have personally driven it about 100 miles or so and it drives great, sails down the freeway with ease and the engine is very strong. Transmission shifts properly as well. I would suggest a regular tuneup such as plugs, wires and a fuel injector flush to make it idle a bit smoother but even as it is I would jump in it and drive it anywhere. It does not overheat, it has not exhibited any leaks and it does not have any warning lights on in the dash. It's fun to drive and it gets a few compliments here and there along the way, most millennialsdon't even know what it is!
These cars are dramatically becoming more desirable as we pass the 16th year that Oldsmobile has been discontinued. A lot of people my age (late 40's) remember these cars and really enjoy them, they are starting to pop up at collector car auctions here and there as well. I see the very few that are available listed anywhere from $6500 to $10000 so that shows that they are on the rise but I am offering this very original, rust free, low mile example here on eBay for just seven days with an opening bid of $99 and absolutely NO RESERVE, YOU decide what you want to pay. The car should do $6500+ all day long but it's going to the highest bidder regardless of the final bid number so do not miss this opportunity to own a classic Oldsmobile at your price. Please call me at (602)315-4055 with any questions. I am happy to assist with transport as well. Get your bids in and thank you for looking at my Olds Trofeo.

PLEASE REMEMBER, THESE ARE NOT NEW VEHICLES, THEY ARE VERY NICE AS I PUT A LOT OF TIME INTO DETAILING AND ARE NOT ALWAYS GOING TO BE PERFECT BUT I DO MY BEST TO RECONDITION THESE CARS TO A HIGHER LEVEL THAN MOST SELLERS AS I TAKE A LOT OF PRIDE IN WHAT I DO. PLEASE BE REALISTIC AND EXPECT SOME NORMAL WEAR AND AGING ON THESE CARS BOTH COSMETICALLY AND MECHANICALLY. I TAKE MORE PICTURES AND WRITE MORE IN-DEPTH DESCRIPTIONS THAN MOST SELLERS ONLINE. ALL I ASK IS THAT IF YOU PLACE A BID OR MAKE AN OFFER, BE SURE YOU ARE SERIOUS AND HAVE THE MEANS TO COMPLETE YOUR TRANSACTION, THEPICTURES ARE FREE TO LOOK AT AND IF YOU EVEN WANT TO CALL OR EMAIL JUST TO TALK ABOUT THE CAR, I HAVE ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD FOR YOU BUT ONCE YOU INITIATE A DEAL, IT IS A LEGALLY BINDING CONTRACT THATWILLHOLD UP IN A COURT OF LAW. THANKS FOR YOUR COOPERATION AND UNDERSTANDING.

LOCAL BUYERS ARE RESPONSIBLE TO PAY PHOENIX TAXES OF 8.3%, WE DO NOT BELIEVE IN CHARGING YOU A RIDICULOUS $200, $300 OR I'VE EVEN SEEN $400 DOLLAR DEALER DOC OR PREP FEES AS THAT IS A CLEAR RIP-OFF FOR DOING YOUR PAPERWORK, BUT THERE IS A SMALL COST IN HANDLING THESE ITEMS SO WE DO CHARGE A SMALL $49.00 DOC FEE WHICH LEGITIMATELY COVERS TITLE TRANSFERS, A TEMPORARY PERMIT (90 DAY FOR NON-RESIDENTS AND 45 DAY FOR LOCALS) AND FED EX/UPS/USPS HANDLING OF YOUR PAPERWORK, THIS ALSO COVERS EMISSIONS TESTING FOR LOCAL BUYERS.
