Car description |
---|
1965 Oldsmobile 442, 400 CID V8, Automatic with console and original working tachometer. This is a true 442 car verified by the Body Trim Tag. Believed to be the original engine, rebuilt in 2004. The car was a southern car and has all original body, floor and trunk panels. The frame is also very solid and clean, The car was taken down to bare metal in 2004 and refinished in Black base/clear coat. The original color of the car was Ocean Mist (light green). The car is very straight down the sides and although the paint job was not show quality it still shows very well. The engine compartment is nicely detailed with all decals. The car has a newer dual exhaust system and an AM/FM cassette player. The original radio also comes with the car. It has a spare tire and the original bumper jack. The car currently has 15" Cragar SS wheels with Cooper Cobra Radial GT tires. The tires are in excellent condition and the wheel are in OK condition. Following is a list of New items on the car: starter and fuel pump, Edelbrock 750 single feed carb., Newer style power steering pump, windshield washer reservoir and glass auxiliary bottle, All under hood decals, power brake booster and master cylinder with front disk brakes and proportional valve, all brake lines and rear wheel cylinders, front tie rod ends and ball joints, Front bucket seat and rear seat covers (original style), headliner, headlight and turn signal switch, owners manual and glove box latch/lock, 442 floor mats, sill plates, inner and outer door handles and window cranks, battery, under trunk decals, chrome valve covers, all "442" emblems, re-chromed bumpers.
The car shifts, stops, runs and drives well. The windshield wipers, horn and all lights work properly. This is a honest rust free, real 1965 Olds 442 restored to a very nice driver standard. I am a critical judge of my cars and would rate this car a solid 3+. No disappointments here.
