1992 Olds Custom Cruiser wagon. I bought in 2017 with 88k miles and am the 2nd owner. I've put just over 2500 miles on in in that time. I don't have to sell but garage is taken by my white on red no wood Buick Roadmaster wagon, and I'd rather it not sit out. Ask anything you'd like about the car, but not the price as it's firm.
Clean title, clean history report showing 2 owners and no accidents.
Engine is the base 5.0L 305 V8. Not fast by any means but cruises well at 70 mph. Newer water pump, distributor cap/rotor/ignition module, plugs, wires, a/c compressor, valve cover gaskets, and more I'm sure I'm forgetting. A/C blows cold, but after 3 years is just now starting to cycle (needs a charge) and is still R12. So it needs a can of R12 at your end if you want me to leave it alone, or I'll convert it to 134a for free. You can see the compressor working in pics.
Transmission shifts fine up and down, and fluid is clean. Base 2.73 gears so like all of these 305/2.73 wagons, runs better in drive than overdrive at speeds under 50.
Body is exceptionally solid with zero rust. There are some paint chips above the left front door cladding as happens on these Cruisers (cladding rattles and rubs the paint every time the door closes). There is a small dent on the right rear quarter that might come out with paintless dent repair, and a very small one on the left front fender in front of the wheel. You should be able to see all in pictures. No rust on the tailgate sill or in the door jambs, also seen in pics.
Undercarriage is exceptionally nice as you'd expect of a southern car. Pics should tell the story.
Paint is original except for left front fender - repainted long ago as it's starting to age a little. There are paint chips on the front bumper as seen in pics. Paint is shiny but starting to craze near the gas door. Otherwise nice - could use a buff but not faded or flaking. Again, you should be able to see defects in pics.
Interior is really nice. There are some small tears in front of the armrest, but seating areas are all good. Carpets are nice, dash has no cracks (always under a carpet cover), headliner is perfect, and cargo area is nice (again, always had another cover over it). The cheap hollow plastic buttons on the climate control head are cracked but work (see extra parts below.) The gauges work, but as with most of these, the oil gauge isn't terribly reliable, and the low oil level light comes on about half the time the car is started (level is not low... bad sensor or wire, and it's either on when you start it or not on - doesn't come on or go off after started.)
Wheels are aluminum turbines from the 80's with all 4 center caps. They're painted dark red with Olds emblems, but were originally Buick wheels.
Tires have 1000 miles on the rear tires, and 4000 on the front tires, two matched pairs. Suspension is good (level ride works), brakes are newer, steering is tight enough - no major play in wheel.
The power antenna does not work. ALL else works - power windows, locks, seats, keyless entry (only have 1 remote), intermittent wipers, coldish air and hot heat, rear wiper, rear defroster, and more. Has aftermarket CD player, Kenwood speakers in doors and cargo area, a 1000 watt amp, and a homemade sub box with two 12 inch subwoofers. I'm an old guy, so it's played Frank Sinatra and Billy Joel, and some old school R&B, but I like to hear and feel it. It's not terribly loud - don't get excited - just put it together on the cheap and it works for me.
Extra parts: I have the original radio if you really want it - am/fm cassette with equalizer. Car also comes with the following extra parts if you want them: some cladding pieces, rear bumper cover, dash fascia with map pocket, climate control head with perfect buttons (I don't know if the unit works, but the buttons can be swapped into the existing unit), Oldsmobile and Custom Cruiser emblems, and an extra black roof rack crossbar (only the Olds used this style crossbar in black - the Roadmasters were chrome.) I also have the original headlight bulbs, but the LEDs that are in it work much better without being obnoxiously bright.
