Car description

1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme (2 doorHardtop Coupe)

Listing this car for my son, who has owned the car for 8 years. (He purchased this Olds from ourneighbor, who is deceased).

This Cutlass Supreme is anoriginal matching numbers car with an 8 cylinder, 350 Rocket L-34 motor, 4barrel carburetor and 3 speed Automatic transmission. It has power steering, power brakes, WORKINGAir Conditioning, (it has needed a can of Freon about once every year or so,and blows COLD).

2 Sets of wheels and tirescome with the car. The ORIGNINAL WHEELS will be sold WITH THECAR (And also the NEW AMERICAN Racing wheels and tires that are on itnow!). The original Cutlass 14 inchwheels have all nice chrome trim rings, centers and emblems. They have CooperCobra Tires on them as well. The floor mats appear to be original and theoriginal owner’s manual is also included.

The new Wheels and tiresare two years old and are American Racing Wheels. The rear wheels are slightlywider than the front wheels (as they are supposed to be when ordered) toaccommodate the wider 255x60x15 inch tires on the rear. The front has215x65x15. (The special lug nut extension is in the glove box!)

We will list what is knownabout the car, as well as take some close ups of flaws and defects. I believe the car was originally red in colorand was painted black. The rear quarterpanels were professionally replaced and you can see the quality fine line ofthe seam/weld bead on the inside of the trunk. My son had the white stripes added and the two back quarter panelspainted in 2012.

Mechanically: It is sound. It starts, runs and drives great. It has an upgraded higher amperage Alternator. I will list some of the things he has done sinceowning: alternator, radiator, hoses, belts, brakes, brake lines, packed wheelbearings, changed rear end grease, changed transmission fluid and filter, mastercylinder, shocks, Flow Master twin mufflers and pipes. It does not smoke. It does not use oil between oil changes whichis typically once a year with an average of about 1,000 miles a year put on thecar. It shifts great, everything works(except the window washer sprayer, it will spray but when you push it, it will empty the reservoir!). All blinkers, wipers, heater, AC, fan motorswitches, lights, etc. work as they should. It does have an aftermarket Am/FM, blue tooth radio with upgradedspeakers. To our knowledge it does notneed anything. Mileage on the title is noted as “exempt”. The Odometer shows approximately 33,700 butcannot be documented as actual mileage.

Interior: Is in excellent condition. There are no cracks in the dash. The doorpanels are all in great shape. Carpet is in great shape. The seats are all invery good condition and there is one very small poked hole in the driver’s areaof the seat. Headliner is very good aswell. I believe the only things missing in the interior are the ashtray lid, blinker knob, and the two rear dome light covers.

Exterior/Body:As noted the rearquarter panels were professional replaced (at Dales Body Shop in Ottawa, Kansas). From a short distance away the exterior looksawesome; however it does have some miscellaneous dings and flaws and it is notshow car quality. On the rear quarterpanel driver’s side there a flaw/crack in the paint due to a heavy object (ACCompressor) in the trunk sliding and smacking it shortly after it was painted. There is a quarter size paint flake off on the driver door top side. Thereis no rust through or holes on the undercarriage, floors or frame rails and alllooks very solid. Throughout the undercarriageand in the trunk there appears to be only “minor surface rust” that Ithink would easily sand paper off or rub off with wire brush.

The ONE photo with the Orignal Factory Wheels is from 2014. All other PHOTOs were just taken on December 4th, 2019! Reserve the right to sell car during listing if the reserve has not been met. Prefer email with questions but will list phone number. Thank you, Kevin 785-418-7085
