Car description

OK here is the story. When I bought this car it had a blown head gasket. I spent $4K having the head ground down and new head gaskets, etc. This engine is known for head problems IF you let them overheat. I have had 2 quad 4's before this and put over 200K on both of them with no problems. I know it does not make much sense to spend that much money on a car like this, but the body and interior were clean and there were no rust issues. I had one years ago and loved driving it. It is a really fun car with the manual. Lots of power (180 hp) and great handling. So I went with emotion and did it looking forward to more years of driving fun with a car very few other people have or even know about. (I like that to). The fun only lasted about a year though when now this car has developed some type of issue with the fuel system. When you start it 1/2 the time everything is fine - no issues, engine runs great. The other 1/2 2 of the injectors are not firing. I determined they are not getting signal. (checked with noid light). This is very frustrating because I love driving this car, but do you ever just get at your wits end trying to figure something out without success and just want to be done with it? Well I guess I am there now, hence this listing. I tried swapping the computer, top part of the fuel injector harness, etc. The intermittent works fine one day and you only have 1/2 power the next is what really stumps me. Anyway any other Oldsmobile fans out there want to buy it and take a crack it? Obviously it sells as is but this could be your chance to own a fun, rare car at a great price as I am willing to take a big hit financially here to move on. Current PA inspection. Good paint and interior. Door arm rest broke off one of the back doors and a piece of trim is cracked by the rear seat. dime size surface rust spot on roof. Runs awesome 1/2 the time! Clutch is good. If car sells I will take out the aftermarket head unit and put the original radio/cassette player back in which does not work. Power antenna, locks and windows work. Figure on having the car trailered or shipped. If you started it and you get the good running mode, it will stay that way and I would trust driving it far, but no guarantees after you shut it off if you get 2 or 4 cylinders next time! If they buyer wants it I have a parts car of the identical year/model you can have for free to go along with it if you want it. keywords: regal somerset calais grand am grandam buick pontiac achieva alero
