Car description |

1972 Oldsmobile cutlass s
Factory power steering, power front disc brakes, bench seat auto on the column. Non a/c car.
Beautiful original interior, 2 small seams coming apart on front seat, but no burns or stains. Has usual a-body rust starting on bottoms of front fenders and right rear quarter. The hood is an olds hood, but not original to the car. The last owner put it on. Original stock radio does not work.
Car was bought new at Badger Olds in Oshkosh in 1972, I am the third owner, I have a copy of the original title, original owners manual and original floor mats. I have 3 appraisals dating back to 2003. 2003-$9500, 2015-$13,200 and 2017-$15,300
It is believed to be an original 48,000 mile car.
Frame, floors, trunk and door bottoms are originals and in excellent condition. Quarter glass rolls up and down nicely.
Was originally a 350 2bbl single exhaust car.
Car is now 455 th350 b.o.p 10 bolt 3:73 posi car. The only 2 things the car could use in time would be front pads and rotors, they have been on the car since I bought it, work fine, I just don't know the exact age. And a kick down cable, it had a cheapie aftermarket cable on it when I bought the car, I disconnected it when I did motor/trans. If I need passing gear I manually down shift
Motor:
1970 455 from olds ninety-eight
.030 overbore with Keith Black silv-o-lite 1631-030 pistons
Reconditioned stock rods
Stock std. crank
Melling high pressure oil pump
All clevite 77 bearings
All felpro gakets
Erson TQ40 cam
C heads rebuilt top to bottom
Edlebrock torker 455 intake
Quickfuel 780 polished aluminum electric choke carb
1-7/8" primary tube 3" collector headers. 2-1/2" pipe to flowmasters, 2-1/4" pipe from mufflers to rear bumper
New radiator and all hoses
Hei and internal regulator alternator conversion.
Trans:
Original trans from car, rebuilt top to bottom, shift kit, new trans lines and trans cooler. Hughes 2800 stall converter.
Rear:
B.O.P 10 bolt from 1971 Skylark, new seals, bearings, Eaton posi and 3:73 Richmond gears. Aftermarket boxed adjustable upper and lower rear control arms. New front and rear shocks.
Wheels:
Set of 4 olds ss2's 14x6 rally wheels
2 ss2 custom made rear rally wheels. 15x10 made by diamond racing wheels in Milwaukee
Rear tires are 295/50/15
I have 6 beauty rings for the wheels
Misc:
I have the 455 rocket air cleaner assembly, the clock blank for the cluster and misc odds and ends bracketry.
I have a clean and clear title, in my name, in my hand. No lien.
The driveline has about 4000-5000 miles on it since I put it together 3 years ago. Reliable and very driveable, and on premium pump gas, it's been driven from fond du lac to Chicago, and from fond du lac to the u.p. of Michigan, and never an issue. I would drive it anywhere
