It's hard not to get excited about an affordable 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass coupe that been restored with great paint, aggressive upgrades, a fresh A/C interior, and the original Olds 350 V8 under the hood. You know from the moment you lay eye on this coupe that it's no ordinary Cutlass. There are plenty of aggressive touches, like the blacked-out grille, hood vents, and dual exhaust, but it's not trying to be a full-on 442 impersonator. Instead, this... takes the iconic design elements like the flared fenders, and it makes into something unique. This all starts with the paint. It has the look of Bittersweet â€" a rare color that Olds used in the '70s. Of course, the metallic glow this one gives off lets you know it's a far more modern application. So it loves to highlight the coupe's crisp bodylines every time the sunshine hits the classic sheetmetal. This is the last year we would get such form-hugging bumpers on the Cutlass, and so the rear one is freshly-dipped to really highlight this hallmark. And those dark Olds Super Stock wheel are a nice bridge between this car's added aggression and classic style. The black interior looks great against the exterior package, and they really made a solid investment here during the restoration. That includes new upholstery, new floor covering, new door panels, and a new headliner. And they really paid attention to detail â€" right down to the button-top pattern of the seats. Plus, the walnut-like trim reminds you this is a premium classic. There are nice upgrades like LED lighting, a sports steering wheel, and air conditioning blowing cold with modern R134a. But none of this takes away from the vintage atmosphere. All of this has a classic look and feel, right down to the AM radio that's still cranking out tunes! Oldsmobile people know that a Rocket 350 cubic-inch engine is something very special. They manufactured their own V8s in this era, and these are legendary for being hardy motors. So it's fantastic to see the original numbers-matching motor in the engine bay. It looks great with its proper gold presentation, and it even carries the cool "Keep your GM car all GM" decal on the Rocket air topper. The V8 inhales deeply with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. It has a distinctive sound from the dual exhaust â€" a sophisticated rumble that's perfect for this ragtop's luxury/muscle dual nature. In fact, the consignor states the motor and the three-speed automatic transmission were rebuilt about 15,000 miles ago to keep this a fine cruiser. Plus, power steering and power brakes w/discs up front round out a great total driving package. This Cutlass has a great classic style with all the right upgrades. The sale even comes with a new vinyl top, so you can choose to really have premium vintage motoring appearance. It's a cool and distinct coupe offered at a great price. Call today!!!
