1956 OLDSMOBILE HOLIDAY 88 CUSTOM - "ENCHANTED"
There's great story behind this 1956 Oldsmobile Holiday 88 named "Enchanted"....It all starts in Scranton, PA with a guy by the name of Rick Gscheidle who owned and raced a 1956 Old's back in the day and he wanted to buy another one when he got older. He wound up buying this Olds and turned it into what's now named "Enchanted". This custom has made the front cover of Kustom Rodder magazine back in 2000 and had a nice 4 page story on it's history. Enchanted now resides in Indiana where the current owner is up in age and the kids aren't sure what to do with it. I tried calling all of the people who had a part in building her back in the day, but was unable to reach any of them. I was hoping that one of them would want it back. So, we have a custom Old's Holiday 88 with a Chevy 350 cu. in., 350 hp motor mated to a TH 350 automatic transmission. The trans currently isn't shifting and would need some attention. Unfortunately, the car has deteriorated over the years and needs some TLC in order to bring it back to it's magazine cover days of old. It's pretty much a project car that needs a partial restoration, but hopefully retaining the cool paint job, the etched vent windows and of course, the pin striping! The owner does have some extra rare parts like the other fender skirt, the original "Autronic Eye" and an NOS instrument panel bezel. If you have any questions, please give me a call....thanks, Ken 574-870-4888To view all 111 pictures of this cool ride, please visit:https://classiccarbrokeringservices.shutterfly.com/14056
