Car description

1964 Oldsmobile Starfire, 2 door hardtop, 394ci V8, auto trans with floor shift/console, all original glass in perfect shape, 100 percent complete chrome trim. Car is originally from North Dakota, has been parked since 1972. Body is rust free and laser straight. Original paint, zero body filler. Some pinholes in the trunk pan, that's it. No surprises. Car options are power steering, power brakes, A/C, power antenna, AM radio, console tach.
Car runs, drives, and stops but needs some finish work to be roadworthy. Work needed includes:
  • Hooking up transmission linkage.
  • Replacing front pump seal on transmission (leaks when ATF is at full capacity).
  • Needs an exhaust system.
  • A/C and heater box are also out of the car but I have everything to reinstall.
  • Will also need some electrical attention for gauges, radio, and power seat.
Easyproject, car is 90 percent of the way there. Great candidate for full resto or cool driver with great patina. Won't take much to be cruising by spring. Clean and clear MN title in my name and ready to transfer. Has current MN plates and tags. I have more pics on request including some of the mechanical work done, the problem area in the trunk pan, and much more. I will respond to questions asap. This car is far from perfect, but it is incredibly straight, complete, and almost entirely rust free for a northern car.

  • All four tires brand new (still have nubs), on original 15" mags w/knockoffs
  • Fuel tank is acid cleaned and new seals on sending unit
  • Rebuilt fuel pump

  • Seats were previously re-upholstered, good condition.
Buyer is responsible for moving the car, don't think you are going to drive it anywhere, it is not roadworthy yet. I will work with YOUR shipping company to arrange time/loading.
