Car description

This classic has been in my immediate family since it rolled out of the dealership in 1972 in Dallas. TX where it was purchased by my aunt and then driven to Albuquerque. NM where the vehicle has spent its entire life. My Grandmother purchased it from her a few years later and has owned it ever since. She's now 91 (Grandma) and her last "excursion" to the store ended up putting a couple more dings in the bumper and mangling the tailpipe. so she has finally conceded that maybe she can't see well enough to operate a vehicle anymore. (thank goodness!!!!) and she is allowing me to assist her in finally selling it. Unfortunately. I don't know much about the car specifically and Grandma isn't much help in filling in the details either. but I'll look up/photo/video any specific information that potential sellers may need to help with their decision. I brought home the what I thought was the paperwork for the car. but it was her mobile home title and info and not the car stuff. so I will post the VIN and other info as I retrieve it. This Oldsmobile has been well cared for as should be semi-evident in the pictures. and it is in nearly 100% original condition. From what I know the engine and transmission have never even been rebuilt. it was only really just driven locally. I asked how many times the odometer has turned. but Grandma couldn't remember. right now there's over 47K on the odometer. The only non-factory thing that I saw was that the drivers seat had been reconfigured (and not very well) to be power adjustable. The dashboard isn't even cracked. but it did have a 1972's navigation system installed (compass. ) Even the vinyl top is original with only a couple of small tears in it. This car is NOT a fly and drive vehicle. it had sat for so long sneaky Grandma had to have it jump started by AAA when she decided that she needed to go to the store to buy Christmas presents last December. Well. we think the seals in the master cylinder had dried up as she found herself stuck on a neighbors mailbox because she had no brakes (see tailpipe pics. ) We topped them off and bled them and they were fine to return the car back to her carport. but I wouldn't rely on them to get me anywhere. This is a beautiful classic that would be an extremely solid foundation for a restoration and we're hoping that someone with the passion for bringing these muscle cars back to their former glory will see all the potential that this car has. Questions are encouraged and welcomed for this auction since I really don't know what it is that potential buyers want/need to know about a vehicle like this. but I will do everything I can to answer. Just send me an email with contact information and I'll respond as soon as I can. The vehicle is still parked at Grandmas house. so there may be some delay in responding.
