1970 Oldsmobile SX. 442 drive train in a Cutlass Supreme, GM's answer to get around the insurance rates in a 442. Purchased from the original owner who bought it in September of 1969. It's all original with some slight upgrades to improve drivability. Engine was pulled and all gaskets replaced, oil pump, fuel pump, double roller timing chain, motor mounts transmission mounts and all associated belts and hoses. Ice cold R-12 A/C, rebuilt and anodized correct Quadrajet. New master brake assembly. Internally regulated alternator. Pertronix ignition conversion. New upper/lower control arm urethane bushings, sway bar bushing, tie rods and ball joints. Hotchkiss springs and shocks. New correct Rally-Pac gauge set with Tic-Toc tach with quartz clock. 200-R4 transmission with Buick Grand National valve body, internal pressure switches and shift kit. Correct console shift plate with overdrive indicator. Shortened and balanced drive shaft with new u-joints. Completely rebuilt rear end with 3.42 gears and Eaton posi-traction. Full 2 1/2 inch exhaust, with cross over x-pipe and super 44 flow master exhaust. I still have the original Turbo-400 transmission and SS-1 wheels and tires. It currently has Year One 17x8 aluminum SS-1 Rally wheels that look great and will go with the car.
