Up for auction is a very nice 1983 Oldmobile Toronado. I have had the pleasure of owning this car for the last 3 years, purchasing it on EBay from the second owner who purchased it from the original owner's estate. I went and picked it up and drove it 300 miles back home and the only issue was that the brakes needed to be tended to. Had them done and they now work perfectly - at the same time I replaced the front shocks.Everything works, even the air blows ice cold. The interior is like new, with the exception of an area in the headliner that sags. This is a common occurrence in this era, and never bothered me. The cigar lighters appear to have never been used. The tires and wheel covers are excellent, and it has the original unused spare tire. The known issues are: There are a couple of small rust spots- the paint is nice, but it is a 35 year old lacquer paint job. The power antenna works, but does not go up and down. And finally, when I had it detailed, the idiot broke the little arm that resets the trip odometer. It has never leaked anything, but just recently I noticed a small spot after driving it. The last item is that the fillers between the bumper and body panels have become brittle and some have broken. These are available online. This is a very nice driver with 29,598 (today) miles. I have proof of mileage and proof of dealer maintenance.I have enjoyed bringing back memories of my youth, but storage issues have forced me to let someone else enjoy this car.It is for sale locally so I may end this auction early. Thanks for looking, send me any questions.
