Up for sale is a 1964 Oldsmobile Super 88 with 45,000 miles. Purchased in Miami where it lived its whole life until five or so years ago. My father purchased this car from the original owner. The car is very straight with some minor bodywork. We had it painted in the current scheme and the paint is in very good shape. Paint is a little over four years old and looks great. The work done at that time was removing some small dents and dings. The Chrome is in great shape and there is only one emblem that is missing one “8” on the passenger side emblem of the car. There is no visible rust under the car.
This ‘64 has a very nice exterior. The body is very straight. The blue interior has the original cloth and vinyl. The driver’s side of the front seat cover is worn from usage and needs to be repaired. The seat frame is in good shape. Most of the work needed in the interior is very minor. The headliner has a small rip and needs a good cleaning. This Super 88 is equipped with its original 394ci V-8 with 4BBL carb and 3-speed Roto Hydra-Matic automatic transmission.
1964 was the last for the Super 88 series, which limited to two body styles: a four-door Holiday hardtop sedan and a four-door pillared sedan. Total production for both four-door Super 88 models reached 19,514 assemblies for the model year.
This car is in great shape and would make a fantastic project to finish. My father and I have been tinkering with it since we bought it. It has a clear Florida title. The Oldsmobile has remained a family collectible since we have owned it. It has been driven on special occasions, garage kept and well maintained.
