Car description

This is a nice driver muscle car, with 500+ Hp & 600 Ft lbs of torque. Its great from 5 foot, there are blemishes and flaws in the paint. This is NOT a frame off restoration car, and its not priced as one. The body is nice, and she turns heads wherevershe goes. This is a great driver and street bruiser! There are almost 100 photos in this listing, I have covered pretty much every angle I can think of. If there is a specific pic you want, please contact me and I'll get it for you as quickly as I can. I'm selling this car for someone, and its almost 1 hour away, I will try and get the pic by the following day for you.

The Exterior
This is an originalOhio car broughtto NY by its owner some years ago. The owner claims never seen a NY winter, and judging from the underside, I would agree. Since then, he has had both the front and rear bumpers re-chromed, and had the paint and body work done. Its a solid body with a small right rear lower quarter repair. The floors, doors, bumper boxes, frame and trunk are rock solid and in amazing condition for a 42 year old car. The doors open up nicely and do NOT drop! That's amazing for a car of this age and those monster doors. The hood is the original louvered hood, and the scoops are aftermarket, the owner's attempt to mimicthe earlier years 442 and these could be removed. The paint shows some blemishes and chips, looks good from 5 foot. The driver side rear panel is the worse, as the paint and sealer bubbled from moisture when it was painted. I tried to capture it in the pics, please look at them closely. I'm not going to claim there is no filler in the car, but its not a bondo buggy either! This is a solid 442 with tons of potential if you want to restore her to greatness. The passenger door, it doesn't open from the outside, an easy fix, needs a new clip for the latch rod. The trunk lid is in great shape and closes solid. The trunk floor is perfect, not a spot of rust and the underside just as clean. The suspension and brakes are all good, and still stock. See the pics, they tell the tale.
The Interior
The interior needs a full restoration. This car is equipped with the original swivel bucket seats and they work. The driver seat someone cut the back to install a 5 point racing harness. The seat it self is badly worn. The passenger seat looks like it could be recovered pretty easily, the back seat as well. The door panels are all there, and I think with a little work could be restored. The headliner looks good, without any visiblerips or holes. The center console has been modified to fit the B&M ratchet shifter. The original is included and in good condition. Some of the trim piece are off, and are included, they will need attention. He has some spares which with a good coat of paint could be used. The top of dash has a hole cut in it, from what appears to have been a tachometer mount, and it has a crack. The rest of the dash looks good, and all of the gauges are operational. The heater controls have been removed as well as the radio. This car was stripped down for racing, but it will not take much to bring this car back to its 442 glory.
The Engine

1968/69 Oldsmobile 455 block, the block casting #396021. Obviously not the original engine. The engine was built by Finger lakes machine in Canandaigua, New York. They are one of the best engine builders in the Finger lakes, most of the stock cars engines racing in the area are build by them.Carl McQuillen Racing Engines dyno'd tested the engine at 500+ hp & 600 lb of torque.See the pics for the Dyno results.
