Original Drivetrain 442 Sports coupe that underwent a complete frame off restoration approximately 15 years ago with only a few thousand miles on the clock since. Original Red-Red car. One repaint in the correct "Target Red" that was finished professionally. It does have some chip touch ups/ shrinking etc from age but presents very well. Straight body panels with good gaps and no evidence of any major body repairs. Original Quarter panels received the lower 6" and were replaced very nicely. Flo...or bottoms were also replaced with excellent reproduction or nice originals. Very hard to notice they were even done because they were butt welded, not just layed in and sealed over like you see commonly. All of the chrome was refinished beautifully, but the plater was not able to remove pitting in the low areas of the pot metal trim on decklid and side of car. Detailed pics below show the pits. Interior is very nice showing only minimal wear. Dashboard remains unrestored original and in good shape. All of the date codes line up on this 442, you could call it numbers matching but because they did not stamp a vin on the blocks of these cars I do not. Optioned with Power brakes and steering. Later model Magnum 500's and BFG radials were installed for a better ride and handling. This car was featured in the "Auto Restoration Club" calender and a copy will accompany the car. Very nice Honest 442 ready to enjoy. Currently driven bi-weekly.
