We only accept wires, certified checks, and cash. We do not take deposits, Paypal, credit cards (cash or debit), or checks in the mail. We will not deal with a loan from your bank. All cars must be paid for within 3 days of the auction ending, no excuses. Please make sure you have the funds available before you bid on our vehicles. Thank you very much for taking the time to read this, and we're sure that all other car dealers feel the same.
If you're the lucky winner of our auction, we will email you immediately to congratulate you and give you our number, 216-990-3880 (Lou). Most of our auctions end between 7 PM and 10 PM. We would like a call from the winner within 12 hours of auction ending so we know that they are a real buyer. If not, we will offer it to the 2nd highest bidder. If the original winner has still not contacted us after 4 days they will be reported to eBay as a non-paying bidder. Thank you again for reading.
This is a no-reserve auction, which means that the last highest bidder when the auction is over will win the car. Every time you bid on the car keep in mind that you have an opportunity to be the owner, so your bid means something.
We encourage all bidders to stop out, personally examine the car and drive it for themselves. If you can’t personally make it out to check out this vehicle, simply find a local mechanic to look at the vehicle and give you a personal report on the condition. Ebay also offers a service like this! Please do this BEFORE bidding on the vehicle!
This is an as-is vehicle, which means that once you buy it, you own it with all faults (known or unknown). With the purchase of this vehicle, the buyer will pay for all repairs. We sell all cars as-is, which means you will pay all costs for any repairs. The dealer assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle.
If you need a 30-day tag, it’s $18.50. We handle the transfer of the title. We will also have to collect the tax for your county if you live in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Ohio, and South Carolina.
We would like the vehicle picked up from our lot within 7 days of auction ending. There will be a $100 paperwork fee added on to the final sale price of the vehicle, along with a $15 title fee. By Ohio law, we must transfer this title into your name. The reason being is that if we would just send you the title and it was to get lost, there would be a problem. Or if we would send you the title and you didn't transfer it for several years and it got lost, it would be an even bigger problem. We follow the law of our state and will make sure that the title is transferred correctly for all customers. We will not pay any shipping fees, but we would be glad to assist your shipper in picking up your vehicle. If you have any questions, call Lou at 216-990-3880. Good luck bidding!
CLICK HERE TO VIEW A SLIDESHOW OF MORE PHOTOS -------->> X XWe are offering for sale today a 1965 Olds 442 with a 400 cubic inch Ultra High Compression engine. It has a factory 4barrelcarboratorwith a 345 HP motor from the factory. This car has automatic transmission and power steering. As you can see in the pictures, the body looks very nice, but there is a little rust bubbling by the molding in front of the hood. Also, on the very bottom below the lowest molding on one of the rear quarter panels, there is a bit of rust. The rest of body, however, we think is verypresentable. The bumpers seem to be very clean in the front and rear. All four wheels and tires seem to be in great shape and we just put on brand new lugnuts. We also had the car inspected and tuned up, replacing spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and points. We also changed the oil. It starts and drives well and it has a lot of power.
The gentleman we bought this car from was going to do a complete restoration on the car, but he had too many projects and he sold it to us. So he replaced all of the floors inside the carthroughthe trunk area. It was all welded in correctly, over a $2000 repair. Before he bought the car, the seats were missing. So they were replaced with used seats that are correct for the car. They obviously need to be recovered. So we decided not to complete the interior and top for three reasons:
1. The work that we get done may not be correct for the originalty of the car.
2. We don't know exactly how long it would take to complete the interior bringing it into a shop.
3. We may pick colors for the interior that may not match the customer's likes and/or needs.
So I purchased a Fusick catalog of all parts for this 1965 Olds 442, and I found that it would be very inexpensive to improve everything to make the interior & top brand new by either installing it yourself or paying to have the labor done by another person. Before I tell you the price of the parts, I'd also like to mention that inside the trunk of the car, you will see the console with glove compartment cover, all the white panels to be re-installed, the original radio, and the door sills to hold the carpet in place. We believe that all the partsnecessaryto put the interior back together are in the trunk. We don't have all the screws, but we're sure you'd want to replace them with new ones.
From this catalog,
Convertible top: $299
Top motor: $149
New carpeting: $169
Factory front and rear seat covers: $599
Parade boot: $169
This adds up to a total of $1385, which is not a lot of money to make the interior look and feel brand new again. Here again, if you do it yourself, that's all you'll have to pay. If you bring it to the shop, the labor could be another $1385, but that will be up to the new owner to decide. I'm just mentioning possible options. If you go on Google and check the VIN number, you'll see that it's a genuine 442 convertible. If you have any questions about the car, feel free to call Lou at 216-990-3880. Don't forget to look at the extra photos in the slideshow. GOOD LUCK TO ALL BIDDERS!
