This auction is for a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible. The car is a true Barn Find with 30930 miles on the odometer. It was last licensed in 2003 and in good running condition when it was parked. I believe the mileage to be correct but cannot guarantee that it is. The car was used as a parade car by a local business and driven mostly by an elderly lady.Thepowertrain is a 350 Rocketwith a TH350 transmission.I have started the engine and it misses on a couple of cylinders. There is no compression on the missing cylinders so the valves are probably stuck open. I believe that a valve job will repair the engine. I can repair the350 engineor supply a1970 455 Rocket engine and a TH400 (may be a TH375) transmission for an additional fee. The car can also be sold "as is" and the purchaser can perform the necessary repairs. The car has some rust around the rear wheels. It seems to be contained to the areas depicted in the photos and I believe it can easily be repaired and the paint blended with the existing paint on the car. The car has been repainted once and the paint will look pretty good overall if the rusted areas around the wheelsare repaired. The interior is good overall with no rips or tears in the upholstery. The carpet will need to be replaced and the carpeted areas on the door panels dyed. The top looks good with no rips and functions properly. There is also a boot that can be installed when thetop is lowered, t is in useable condition. The switch for the top will need to be replaced, t is wired to a temporary toggle switch, ut it does operate properly. There are some alpine tweeters installed in the windshield pillars, his is the only modification that I have found on the car. WhenI purchased the car there was an aftermarket stereo mounted under the dash and a pair of speaker boxes sitting in the rear floorboards. They have been removedbut will come with the car.I also have a set of 14 inch rally wheels that go with the car. I do not have the center caps or trim rings for these wheels. The tires look good, ut it has been sitting a long time and I would not trust them. This would make a great 442 tribute car or an inexpensive classic convertible project. Please feel free to ask any questions. I can be reached at (573) 718-2386 if you prefer to talk in person. I will post more pictures of the trunk and interior tomorrow. thanks
