In their time, hey were referred to as Doctors' Wagons.This car had aside crank so the driver could start the car from the front seat. It has a two-speed transmission, enter chain drive and mechanical brake on the transmission.The original engine was a one-cylinder horizontal style with 4.5 horsepower.This one sports the original chassis, heels, rivetrain, rake and transmission. The motor has been replaced with a Honda 5hp. There has been some necessary woodwork done evidently, hroughout the life of this car. All necessary on a 100+ year old wood-bodied vehicle. Some of the original remains, urprisingly enough, nd, verything done was done professionally to good effect. This one was found in a warehouse several years ago. It sports a California Horseless Carriage Tag. We have no title. We have no VIN to get one. Maybe all of this can be traced through California DMV if it is necessary.
