Beautiful low mileage original blue plate Southern California 1972 Oldsmobile Toronado time capsule. Clean great condition recent garage find is a two-owner car purchased in SoCal by prominent Capistrano Beach family who later gifted it to their housekeeper. Preserved in dry home garage until discovered in July of this year. Comes with factory protect-o-plate, roadcast sheet and original dealer books.
Very nice deep saddle bronze iridescent GM code #63. Dry, lean, traight 99% rust free body, loor, ood, oors, heel wells and trunk and trunk lid. (Don't think any unrestored classic can be called 100%). Factory paint is mostly original with passenger front quarter re-spray. Touch-ups of road chips. Small ding in driver rear quarter. New excellent condition code correct medium tan vinyl top. Stainless trim and emblems all there and in good shape. Shiny chrome bumpers have no dents and are in very nice condition.
Nice original brougham upgrade interior with optional 60/40 front seat; Both front and rear seats with no tears or cracks. Front/rear center armrests. Door panels and dash in top shape. Door armrests recovered, riginal thick carpets in great shape. Original brown factory color coded brake, as and e-brake pads. Excellent original headliner and sun visors (with vanity mirror) have no tears. New door sill plates sparkle.
Exterior lights, urn signals and upper /lower brake lights working. Interior courtesy lights, ash warning lights, auges, ighter and wipers all work. Original am/fm works. Tilt wheel, ower windows and power seat work. Power locks and remote mirror. Interior climate control and defrost work well. Air-conditioner system complete and fan blows but engine elctrical not hooked up. (No need by the beach). Windshield is nice and clear and all glass good. Remote electric trunk opener in glove box works.
Engine compartment is super clean and fully detailed with many original details and decals, riginal 455 V8 with rebuilt four-barrel runs strong. Drives and stop very nicely. Original oil filler cap, adiator cap and rare expansion tank. Fresh oil, ilter and coolant. New fuel pump and new battery. Dual exhaust is quiet.
Excellent trunk compartment with working light and two original instruction stickers. Original factory cardboard inserts and gray felt floor lining over factory rubber matting. Complete original jack still with its cad finish, ack base, umper hook with decal and lug wrench. Clean spare with correct hold downs.
Undercarriage extremely clean and dry. Wheel wells very clean. Original Oldsmobile hubcaps.
