Car description

This car is a 1971 Oldsmobile 442 2 door Convertible with a 455 engine. It was built in February 1971 and I bought it in March of 1971. I am the first and only owner. Hard to believe but yes I kept it all these years. It has 94,500 miles on it. I have taken very good care of it over the years. I have done routinely check ups and have had it garage stored for most of its life. Feel free to email me for questions. My Ownership:I am the first and only owner of this car. I bought it in Oneonta, Y when I was a graduating college student. But since I lived on campus I didn't get to use it much. During this time I would lend it to my father to use. After, stored but would continue to bring it for a yearly checkup just in case a Thelma and Louise moment came.Restoration:This car is mostly all original. I have had the top redone do to a small tear on the original. I also had the seats reupholstered in their correct finishes for that era.Mechanically the car was sound and did not need to be touched. The only thing I have changed under the hood is a new battery. As well as but in new brake lines. But like I have said I have had yearly check ups done and everything is in amazing condition. It runs very smooth for such a big engine.Interior:The interior is in amazing shape. Like I said I reupholstered the seats to their correct finishes. When I bought this car in 1971 I custom ordered a bench seat rather then having two buckets. I also have back seat seat belts. I also had the old radio taken out and put a new digital one in. The only imperfection on the interior is on slight cut of the leather on the drivers side door as seen in the pictures.Body:Everything on the body is original. All the sheet metal is original. The paint has not been redone and is original. Due to this fact there are some scratches on the drivers side due. As well as a pin sized dent on the passenger side below the rear view mirror. There are some small paint chips on the hood as well but to me not very noticeable, nd again I would rather have the original paint job on this classic. All of this can be seen in the pictures.Glass:All the glass is original. The back window even has my college parking sticker. All windows are in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks.Top:The top was redone due to a small tear in the original. I still have kept the original though if you would like it.Trim:All of the Trim is original and in fair condition. Some bits have some pits but no rust.Paperwork:I have kept every bit of paper that is related to this car. I have the original owners manual. I have the original warranty with my name on it. I even have the Michillan tire advert that they had in the glovebox. I have kept every receipt of the few things that have been restored.Terms of Sale:A $1000 non-refundable deposit and communication from the highest bidder is due within 3 days of the auction's end. The deposit can be paid via Paypal or cash, nd I will eat any Paypal fees.
