1990 Nissan 300ZXPearl Yellow ExteriorCharcoal Black Cloth Interior5-Speed Transmission
Very early production, 06/89. This car has a very special history. Back in 2003-2005 this car was utilized as a daily driven performance street drag vehicle in pursuit of running as fast as it could in the 1/4 mile with a factory spec naturally aspirated motor without any power adders. These cars came with 222hp from the factory, and usually ran a quarter mile in 16 seconds. This car was modified with bolt ons and for the longest time was running in the high 14s consistently. Eventually the car was able to set the record of being the fastest NA in the country clocking a quarter mile in 13 seconds. A very respectable and difficult feat for a factory unopened 3.0L V6. Most modified twin turbos at the time were running a little slower then that running consistent 14.2s. After this record was achieved, its unclear what happened to the car as it disappeared and was thought to be gone/lost forever. Many years later the car was discovered again, and like most cars from this era was neglected and left for dead. However, given the history that this car has it and it being well worth restoring now that these cars are going up in value, the car was extensively restored mechanically and restored back to stock road legal specs. A replacement engine was installed. New clutch & flywheel. New drive shaft carrier bearing. Injectors & water pump were replaced. Intake plenum water lines have been bypassed for easier future engine service. EGR was left intact & functional for emissions purposes along with the extra 1-3mpg this provides. New battery. Exhaust work was also done including but not limited to: New high flow catalytic converters, replacement exhaust, & performance exhaust tips. Exhaust system is better flowing then factory along with a performance tone to it. The rear suspension was also replaced entirely with original. Rear parking brakes were also inspected & adjusted. Mechanically at this point, there is really no reason that this car could not be daily driven. Exterior wise, an entire paintjob is personally recommended. The car is all one color, however the original tri stage pearl and clear is peeling in most areas. There are moderate dents/body damage around the car and will require bodywork. That is the only real major thing left that this car needs to be restored back to a new looking car. Interior needs some TLC as well, but is fairly complete and will clean up well. The air conditioning was uninstalled since this was previously used as a drag car for weight purposes, however the air conditioning components have been acquired separately, and can be included with the car is the buyer desires. The first 6 pictures are current pictures. The quarter mile timeslips, and other pictures after that are of the car as it was back in 2003/2004. The car runs, drives, and stops! It is NJ Emissions exempt therefore no inspection sticker is needed to drive it. Its also classic insurance eligible, and QQ plate eligible as well. Clean title in hand. Any further questions, feel free to ask 6094353071. This is a fantastic car thats well worth restoring and will always hold its value at a minimum. These cars are already soaring in demand and many expect these cars to increase in value. With the history this vehicle has, its a 1 of 1.
